Location: Close to campus of UC Berkeley; 10 minute walk from Berkeley Downtown BART. Lots of bars and cafes in the area, it's a student area after all.
Room on 6th floor was comfortable and well away from the hotel bar. Good coffee machine in the room. Free continental breakfast in the room rate was coffee, pastries and yoghurt in private area not the main restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful general and I especially when I realised I'd left my coat behind after checking out - that was dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

Cons: The beds were so short and the showers were so short.
Very accommodating personnel. Great grilled cheese. Great salad. Lame breakfast. Cute decor in a fantastic location.

Great for campus related activities

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Location to UC Berkeley is great
Cons: Room could have been a little cleaner and have more light/ lights. Shower had irregular water temp, so improving that would be nice.
Location: Local food merchants are fun and interesting and being right next to campus is great. Walkable to BART.
The hotel is nice to have in the area, but not quite as cute as the photos. They were strangely picky about the check out time. They tried to tell me it was 11am, when all the literature clearly says it is noon, and were a little resistant to a late check out (I needed 12:30pm - not a big ask!)

Very convenient to UC-Berkeley and a lot of shops along the street. There are a few stores you can buy food to eat.

Nice place to spend the night

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Location: Lots of places to eat and things to see within walking distance.
Had a great stay here. Room was a little smaller than newer hotels, particularly the bathroom, but very comfortable. Henry's, the restaurant downstairs, is outstanding.

good for students

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Good location, and it had a bar and restaurant on site.
Cons: The prices seemed too high for what was offered. They advertise breakfast and free parking, and it made me feel a bit ripped off when I didn't get it.
Location: great location for students
Conveniently located near UC and with a bar that has cheap drinks, this hotel is great for students who can afford it, not so great for older folks. The hotel is clean, with rooms that are comfortable but not luxurious, and the bar is very noisy. They didn't want to give me the free breakfast that came with my room--I had to show that it was on my receipt, and then it turned out to be only fruit and a muffin. The scrambled eggs and omelets tasted as though they were made from egg beaters instead of real eggs. My friends who stayed there had to pay $26 to park their car although it advertised free parking somewhere on the website.
