Came in a Berkeley busy time of graduations. Hotel was fine. Even missing electricy for one morning did not spoil the overall positive impressions.

Nice, modern hotel on the Cal campus within walking distance to lots of cafes, coffee shops and shopping. Room was clean and updated.

Not bad!

Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: Cozy atmosphere.
Location: Lots of great shopping and food nearby.
Watch your reservation through Expedia. I was offered a free breakfast and Internet when I booked through the site, but was told by hotel staff that the information was not provided to them on my account. They agreed to refund me for the breakfast I purchased and gave me a voucher for the next day's breakfast. So, I'm good! Enjoyed the stay. Was in Berkeley for a 3-day business conference. Liked the collegiate atmosphere and the buzz of young people playing board games and mingling in the lobby. Reminded me of my college days a thousand years ago! Overall, pleasant stay. Older hotel, but nicely renovated.

Location: Close to campus of UC Berkeley; 10 minute walk from Berkeley Downtown BART. Lots of bars and cafes in the area, it's a student area after all.
Room on 6th floor was comfortable and well away from the hotel bar. Good coffee machine in the room. Free continental breakfast in the room rate was coffee, pastries and yoghurt in private area not the main restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful general and I especially when I realised I'd left my coat behind after checking out - that was dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: Staff amazing
Cons: The beds were so short and the showers were so short.
Very accommodating personnel. Great grilled cheese. Great salad. Lame breakfast. Cute decor in a fantastic location.

Great for campus related activities

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Location to UC Berkeley is great
Cons: Room could have been a little cleaner and have more light/ lights. Shower had irregular water temp, so improving that would be nice.
Location: Local food merchants are fun and interesting and being right next to campus is great. Walkable to BART.
The hotel is nice to have in the area, but not quite as cute as the photos. They were strangely picky about the check out time. They tried to tell me it was 11am, when all the literature clearly says it is noon, and were a little resistant to a late check out (I needed 12:30pm - not a big ask!)

Great urban center and rich Berkeley history. Excellent access to all Bay Area and across the street from a great art museum.
