Great urban center and rich Berkeley history. Excellent access to all Bay Area and across the street from a great art museum.

Nice place next the UC-Berkeley

Very convenient to UC-Berkeley and a lot of shops along the street. There are a few stores you can buy food to eat.

Nice place to spend the night

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Location: Lots of places to eat and things to see within walking distance.
Had a great stay here. Room was a little smaller than newer hotels, particularly the bathroom, but very comfortable. Henry's, the restaurant downstairs, is outstanding.

good for students

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Good location, and it had a bar and restaurant on site.
Cons: The prices seemed too high for what was offered. They advertise breakfast and free parking, and it made me feel a bit ripped off when I didn't get it.
Location: great location for students
Conveniently located near UC and with a bar that has cheap drinks, this hotel is great for students who can afford it, not so great for older folks. The hotel is clean, with rooms that are comfortable but not luxurious, and the bar is very noisy. They didn't want to give me the free breakfast that came with my room--I had to show that it was on my receipt, and then it turned out to be only fruit and a muffin. The scrambled eggs and omelets tasted as though they were made from egg beaters instead of real eggs. My friends who stayed there had to pay $26 to park their car although it advertised free parking somewhere on the website.

New Favorite Hotel!

Pros: The rooms are like mini-studios. So spacious and homey!
Was there for NYE- and the service was impeccable. We felt taken care of.

overpriced

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: staff
Cons: an upgrade of the rooms
very, very nice staff and let us check in early. but the rooms are depressingly dated. old TVs that are positioned in the corner of the room so you can't watch from the bed (unless you lie down sideways and backwards). also, the bathroom door was a closet door, so there is NO privacy (had to use the lobby restroom). Decent place but way overpriced.

Not woth the money but good for short stay

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: Staff Coffee machine in the room Bed
Cons: The breakfast need to be improved. Elevator need maintenance to be faster. Free water for customer to be used with the coffe machine
Location: Close to UC Berkeley. Resturants and market.
The cleaner in the hotel are very old, hence they never clean the room in good way. Internet is slow. The free breakfast that come with Expedia offer doesn't worth it. No Gym. Elevator is very slow. Staff are very Freindly. Hotel is old but it's okay for short stay. The cost per night is over rated.
