Quiet, Lake ViewPosted Sep 3, 2013
Cons: Some rooms are renovated. Bathrooms are older, with older tile. Not a problem for me, but maybe for the glamorati.
Rooms in the 'back' are lake view. If this is a must, be sure to request it. Better views on the second floor. Our stay was very nice. Outdoor pool which is a personal fave that is becoming harder to find. Staff was great, rooms were spacious and beds were very comfy. Tons of bbq grills for everyone to use. Nice designated picnic/grill area next to pool in addition to grills and picnic tables scattered throughout property. I would definitely return!

overall very goodPosted Sep 18, 2012
Location: good location.
overall very good, almost right on the lake. nice little dock for fishing with the kids and a pretty easy walk for me to carry a kayak from the parking lot to the dock. they also have a grilling area with a firepit. rooms were standard, nice to have a decent sized frig. good location. little grocery store within a very short walk. also check out the "honi honi bar" also a very short walk. it's right on the water with a big grass area and playground for the kids only negative was the "continental breakfast" which consisted of coffee and prepackaged cupcakes, donuts etc...

Acceptable, with Kitchenette, High PricePosted Aug 13, 2012
A pleasant enough place, with a kitchenette. Not really worth the money, however. Since the cost was on the hig side, the overall facilities could be better, and there are virtually no services, but for house cleaning, (including doing dishes). For the money, perhaps they could even provide a bit of a breakfast buffet, (and update the facilities). Basically, more like a motel (including location) with the appearance of a rustic inn, (off Rt. 219). Staff was pleasant, (although front desk was basically it, but for cleaning services). Bed (Kin in our room) was comfortabele. Cable T.V. good. Some frontage on Deep Creek Lake (if you walk down the hill to it), although even this could have been a bit more inviting, (i.e., a few more chairs, maybe even a chaise or two!).

Recommended with Some ReservationsPosted Jul 18, 2011
We stayed at the inn for six nights. The room was extremely dark. We bought light bulbs of higher wattage for all of the lamps (3). There was no comfortable seating in the room because of the way the furniture was arranged, however, the community deck was fantastic! We had rooms on the back side of the inn facing east, so the mornings were sunny and the afternoons were shady. I wouldn't want to be in a room on the front of the inn because the afternoon sun was brutal. Although a continental breakfast was advertised, only coffee was available. The lobby was very nice with many seating areas. The inn is very close to restaurants, parks, and the lake. We did not swim in the pool, but it looked very nice. If we were to stay there again, I would ask for a room with a fireplace. Those rooms are much bigger with plenty of seating.

Dark and SmellyPosted Sep 17, 2010
The hotel has been renovated recently, so the room itself mostly looked fine. They got one thing wrong, though: the ceilings are really high and made of wood beams, but there were only two small desk lamps to light the place, which made the room really dark. We left the bathroom door open with the light on so we could see better in the main room. But the main complaint is what happens when you step outside each morning: you're greeted with the smell of sewage. There's a waste processing substation right next to the front driveway of the hotel. It's small, so it's not a huge blight on the landscape, but I have to imagine that's what the rank smell was coming from. Otherwise, the hotel was as-advertised: clean rooms, convenient location near the state park, a swimming pool, continental breakfast and a friendly staff.
