Nice Hotel Near UC BerkeleyPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Very close to the university campus and the BART station.
Cons: it may need some renewing
Location: It was very convenient, two blocks from a trader joe's and a very good BBQ smokehouse!
It was god that because we arrive early, we wait for a little to get our room, but they got it before the check in time! We war looking for a good price, convenient location and a clean place; and i can say that it was good.

Not a bad place for a last minute stay. Service was good and fast. They don't require incidental charges so that's always good when you are low on funds. The rooms were okay- they were clean and up to date. No complaints.

Great lodging for the pricePosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
The outside leaves much to be desired, but the interior has been completely remodeled and is very clean and modern. The rooms have all the amenities you could want. The wifi is a bit slow (probably bandwidth restricted) but is sufficient for email and web surfing. The free breakfast is terrible; nothing fresh or unprocessed. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The cleaning staff uses a bit too much bleach in my opinion.

It is ok to stay if you don't have any other better choice and you have to find a place to stay.

Good hotel for the pricePosted Jul 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was small and could barely accommodate the king sized bed we had in it and the window lock was broken so the window was permanently sealed shut. They have free parking, but the lot is small and lacks enough spaces for all of the rooms even though they use a no parking zone for 2 extra spaces. We got back to the hotel late after shopping so we had to park on the street. Luckily, it was a Saturday and Sunday parking is free in Berkeley. Other than that, the room was clean, the AC and heater worked, the door shut and locked, and it was a comfortable place to sleep. If you're looking for more than that then I suggest you pay more and stay elsewhere. I mean, afterall, It's a quality inn so you shouldn't be expecting too much. As they say, you get what you pay for.
