“Stay at the Inn at Jack London Square was fine”

I had a decent trip to the Inn at Jack London Square when I recently came to Oakland to watch a weekend of baseball games. Check in and check out went smoothly. Leaving the hotel was a challenge because the exit was on the opposite side of the office and I had to walk through the parking lot. There were two channels on the TV that had frozen images (one was probably the local ABC channel). Still, I liked my experience and would be open to staying there again.

The woman behind the desk was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for me as I spent time in Oakland, and San Francisco. Right close to the freeway without the noise. I like the rooms all facing inwards away from the street. Good parking. Clean and quiet rooms. Very comfortable. I will go again

“Wonderful Place”

We LOVED our stay here. The room was more than we expected...so clean and beautiful decor...and the bed was incredible....I think one of the best we've ever slept in!

“Great place to stay”

The Best Western Inn at the Square is a wonderful place to stay. Our rooms were very comfortable and we enjoyed spending time on the deck around the swimming pool. We also enjoyed using the coupons the motel provided as vouchers at the Buttercup restaurant adjoining the motel.

Hotel was very clean. Room was nice and large with a good view over the pool. Room service had good, if pricey food. I would definitely stay again

I loved staying at the Inn at Jack London Square because it served all of my needs well, in comfort and safety and clean surroundings. It was accessible to four modes of transportation within a few blocks: BART (both city buses and a free shuttle up and down that street took me to and from the BART station); Amtrak train station; Oakland ferry; and city buses. I always felt secure and clean in my room, and had every comfort that I needed. The bed and linens were clean, and fresh towels and bedding were supplied each day while I was out exploring Oakland and San Francisco. The Buttercup restaurant on the side of the Inn's parking lot was a special added feature, as I ate at least one meal every day there, and the food and service and prices were always reasonable. The food quality at the Buttercup is high, and the service is wonderful and friendly. There is a vegan restaurant just across the street, but its prices were too high for me -- no doubt delicious food, but... I didn't eat there. I would recommend the Inn at Jack London Square to any traveler, whether your activities will be in Oakland or in San Francisco, because the BART system, ferry, city buses, and Amtrak can take you anywhere you need to go, and you have a nice hotel to stay in right in the middle of the action. Downtown Oakland has several parts, so don't think what you see between the hotel and the BART station is all there is -- I explored further east and found a wonderful area of restaurants and shopping..

“Great Location for Boat show attendees”

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very efficent. The only problem I had was the noise from the trains.

“Comfy and convenient”

Well designed, well built, well maintained, well run...and only feet from anything that's happening in Jack London Square. We walked there from the train station, walked from there to BART (to San Francisco) and back to there at the end of the day from the Ferry dock. The desk guy gave us great advice on where to eat, and we felt like we had a home for the weekend.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely helpful and nice upon check-in and check-out and the hotel itself was situated in a great spot - close to Jack London square (2 blocks), the BART (6 blocks), and various restaurants and shops. We had 3 rooms for our whole family (including a baby) and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. We
