“It's okay”
It's convenient to downtown Oakland and it's "just okay," if you want a place close to Jack London Square. There's another hotel across the street with a very similar name so make sure you check in at the right place. There's a lot of shops that have closed at the Square, so not much shopping is available.
“Clean”
They were running a "winter special" so the rate was GREAT. If you know the area, you know that this is a cool location surrounded by a not-so-great area. The rooms were dated yet clean. Really cool old elevator. Convenient parking and nice pool deck area.
“Good for its value, free parking, and close to the bridge to San Francisco”
We didn't have any issues with this hotel. It was old fashioned but clean. Internet connection was very fast and the free parking is a plus (very hard to find it in SF). It is very close to the freeway that goes to San Francisco Bay. Beds were comfortable, bathroom clean, and air conditioning worked perfectly. 32" LCD TV in room.
“The Inn at Jack London Square”
The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. All requests that we had were taken care of quickly and efficiently.
“Very Interesting Neighborhood”
The Inn is located two blocks west of the freeway on Broadway. I stayed there the night before the Occupy Oakland riots because I had to take a test at the Convention Center on 10th & Broadway all day, Tuesday, the 25th, and closer places of accommodation were booked. A convenience was that I could leave my car in the Inn's garage all day while I took the test. While I saw no real action, I did see plenty of law enforcement on the streets, some in riot gear. I walked that stretch of Broadway four times that day and left the convention center only minutes before the cop began to clash again with the demonstrators at 8th & Broadway about 4:00 p.m. Incidentally, the toilet water holding tank was dry, so the toilet would not flush; fortunately, Ionly had to pee. I told the front desk clerk of the problem on my way out. The test was tough but I really enjoyed walking Broadway; the weather was clear & sunny.
“Decent Hotel”
This hotel is a decent hotel. My window was single paned so I could hear the street. There was also music from the street that played late into the night. Still, it's not unexpected. Overall a clean hotel. No frills, but I wasn't expecting any. If you're looking for sheer luxury, this place won't fit the bill. However, if you are looking for a decent reasonably priced hotel close to the Convention Center, then you should not be disappointed.
“won't go back again”
there are fiies in the room when i open the door...
“clean &I convenient”
Met our needs
“Average hotel with a good pool”
The pictures on the internet look much better than the actual hotel. The pool area was nice and a hit with the kids. The bathrooms were small but clean. The parking garage sits below the swimming pool and water was seeping through the ceiling onto the cars below. If you are looking for a fancy hotel skip it. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel with a swimming pool for the kids, this place will do just fine. The staff members were all very helpful and friendly.
“Easy access!”
Convenient and close to everything.
