Nice place, great price
Posted Jan 11, 2013
We stayed here for 11 days, around Christmas and New Years. The location is perfect, very close to the Alcala (pedestrian promenade) and the Santo Domingo de Guzman Church-- just blocks from the old town and close to many nice restaurants. We stayed in a smaller room, but were very comfortable for the long stay, and we each had 2 suitcases. It was clean, the restaurant downstairs worked fine for a couple of quick breakfasts. We never sat in the pleasant courtyard, but that was an option, and they do have a small bar. Very reasonably priced. People working at the front desk were so nice and very helpful. Only one woman spoke some English, but between my dictionary and their helpful attitude, there was no problem.

Excellent Value!
Posted Jan 29, 2012
Pros: Walking distance to restaurants and the zocalo.
Cons: Didn't have any.
We had no idea what to expect for our first stay in Oaxaca. The hotel was perfect and is walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and the town square. The taxi to the airport was definitiely reasonable. The hotel staff was very friendly and I would choose to stay here again. We felt very safe too!

The hotel is close to the city centre. It has an attractive and traditional design around a courtyard. The staff are pleasant and helpful

Decent Hotel Close to the Center
Posted Jan 20, 2012
Pros: There was almost nobody there except us, or at least nobody we saw. It was like we owned the whole hotel.
Location: The location is great, very close to everything you would want.
It was a pretty decent stay, not as nice as I thought, but the people were very friendly. Pretty close to the center of Oaxaca and anything that you would want. A decent stay but not the greatest.

Lovely colonial hotel in great location

The location is truly wonderful, and the hotel itself is very pleasant. It has a lovely courtyard, the rooms are comfortable. The only problem I see is that people sit on a bench and smoke right next to the first floor non-smoking rooms and that the hotel is noisy, the tiled floors reflect sound.

3 Nights in Oaxaca City at Parador Del Dominico
Posted Jan 26, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel has a great friendly, helpful staff. In particular the woman who I believe was the manager was very helpful and friendly when making recommendations for day tours. The hotel also allowed us to use their laptop in the lobby to maked additional travel arrangements. Its a good location north of the Zocalo and amongst many nice galleries and restaurants.
