Nice hotel close to the beach.

Pros: I liked being on the beach & walking outside my balcony & looking at the beach each day of my stay.
Cons: The room needs to be updated w/ paint job & brighter colors in the rooms. The rooms could use better pillows i.e. queen size pillows.
Location: We enjoyed being able to take the local bus to the boardwalk & local restaurants near by.
What I like best about the hotel was the beach. However I do believe the hotel room needs to be restored. The ceiling had water stains. I didn't like the mini pillows on the bed. I would prefer two queen size pillows instead. The bed was comfortable but the rooms should reflect more of a pleasing "beach atmosphere" since the hotel is located on the beach. I enjoyed eating at the restaurant.

Mold on walls and roach in bathroom

Pros: Right on the beach
Cons: Fumigate and renovate all the rooms.
Location: Convenient walk to groceries and restaurants. Right on the beach.
They have nerve charging so much for this place. The rooms need renovating. There was mold on the walls/ceiling and the walls, bathroom door and front door were dirty. The fan in the bathroom was full of dust/dirt and there was a cockroach in the bathroom our last night (I would have checked out right away if I could). It's a shame since the staff seemed nice enough but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Gross, gross, gross!

Pros: this hotel was very accommodating to the handicap.
Location: assateague island about 15 miles. boardwalk about 3 miles....
a very wonderful time at this hotel...good band, friendly and accomodating staff...

Decent hotel for a family with small children.

Pros: daily cleaning service and towels for use by the pool.
Cons: Price - everything was expensive, especially the food!
Location: Golf, shopping, restaurants.
Staff was courteous, clean rooms and attentive pool staff. It was a nice distance from the boardwalk - not too close & not too far.

Close to beach but terrible ocean views.

Pros: It was close to the beach and did allow pets to stay. They also had a good restaurant on sight. Indoor pool was also nice to have.
Cons: Needs a total update. Outdoor pool is very small.
Location: Close to beach. Within a eight block area we found great pizza, ice cream, a small shopping center.
Our room was on the pet floor so our view was the roof of the convention center and all we could hear were the air conditioning units running day and night. Check in at 4:00, don't arrive early our room wasn't available until 4:30. Electrical outlets were not all working. The coffee maker and microwave were on a extension cord and you need to unplug one to plug in the other. Parking is a nightmare if you can find parking at the hotel spaces are tight, if you can't find parking you will have to park across the street and run across a 6 lane highway. Our last night we had a water leak into our room, only to find out the next morning it was a toilet from the room above. Our only compensation was a guaranteed parking space 2 nights and out pet fee was removed from our bill. The new front desk manager is very rude. I will say that the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful.

A one night stay

Two things stuck out about our stay. The counter staff at check in was devoid of emotion - I expect a hello and a bit of a smile. I did not get it. The other thing was we arrived at 3 and the official check in was at 4. They could have found something before 4 but made no effort to do so. The room was ready at 4, when I went back to the counter. A bad start. The staff at the bar and at breakfast the next morning were exceptional. First impressions count for me and I will not be back. Too many options.

I'm sorry that you feel our front desk personnel was devoid of emotion. You certainly should have received a smile and a hello, and I apologize sincerely that you didn't get that. Unfortunately, we probably didn't have rooms ready when you got there. Our policy is a 4pm check-in, but we always try to get everyone checked in as soon as rooms are available. It makes it much easier for the staff to check guests in if they are staggered than if they all come in at the same time. My brief stay - one night at the Clarion.

Pros: Rooms are very comfortable and well appointed.
Cons: They need to redo their bathrooms. The bathroom configuration is very poor.
Location: OC, MD, is the greatest place for a vacation. I go there every year.
The hotel was great, my experience as well, except for the running toilet.

Room not completely clean when we arrived.

Very nice hotel. The room needed cleaning when we checked in. It was obvious that the cleaning crew does not vacuum around beds.

Awesome hotel with a live band. Great good

I loved this hotel I have already told my friends they must stay there. Friendly staff great food. Live band that had everyone on their feet. Oh and right at the beach. The beach was not crowded like down towards the boardwalk. Can't wait to visit again
