great off-season hotelPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Location, price, free coffee in the morning!
Cons: Better (or bigger) signage indicating location of front desk.
I had trouble finding the check-in desk (it's on the second floor) but everything else about my stay was great. The room was clean and comfortable and very well-priced. Location on the boardwalk is excellent and there is a common area with a tv and board games. I would definitely stay here again.

Ok hotel for the moneyPosted Oct 1, 2013
There are remodelded and non remodeled rooms. To date, I believe the remodeled rooms were on the 4th and 5th levels. My initial non remodeled room smelled of mildew. I ask to change, but the hotel was sold out. They changed it to an ocean front room (due to cancellation) the next day at no additional charge and refunded one day. On a positive note, the hotel is in a great location. Great staff and very accomodating! Also, the hotel rate is very competitive relative to other hotels right on the ocean front.

Hotel was ok, needs updatingPosted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: the location.
Cons: just updating but could still deal with it.
Location: close to everything.
needs updating, what was bad though was internet did not work! that was a deal breaker for us! no one at front desk seemed to know anything about it, we moved to a different hotel after 2-days. we needed internet for our business updates while we were on vacation.

Pros: beautiful old building in an excellent location. the pool area is very nice and the staff is friendly. the front porch is very nice too.
Cons: the hotel is in desperate need of a remodel in my opinion. carpets, furniture, beds and tvs are all old. it even smells old.
Location: awesome boardwalk location. very nice
everything was fine. parking, pool, and location. the place just needs a overhaul soon in my opinion

Great locationPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: loved the big front porch with all the rockers to sit at night and listen to the ocean
Cons: Rooms need to be redone- carpet replaced in the hallways or cleaned
Great price at a great location- boardwalk and beach all in one. Hotel was quaint- but does need updating. Rooms are small, but its a place to lay your head. Who hangs out in the hotel when at the beach anyway? My understanding from a worker is that they update approx 20 rooms per year and are in the process

Centrally located-nice viewPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall a nice place to stay. Must eat at Davinci's by the Sea. Room only has 3 outlets(including the one in the bathroom). I had to buy a power strip so I didn't have to unplug the clock, lights, or TV to charge my phone. Shower is real small. The staff was friendly, the view from the ocean side deck was awesome and the deck was cozy. The lobby had free coffee and fruit. There's a large screen TV in the lobby. There is a large pool.

I loved the location of this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful no matter what time of day and there was always someone at the front desk. I loved the large porch with rocking chairs and the ability to walk right onto the beach and walk up and down the boardwalk. The cons are that the hotel is small, the rooms are small and you are only allotted one parking space per room. Being the off season, we didn't have any trouble with street parking for the extra vehicles but I can see how that would be a problem in the summer. Overall, I would def come back to this hotel in the future.

family memoriesPosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed in room with 85 year old in-laws. Enough room with use of beautiful lobby. I picked up breakfast just down the boardwalk and we enjoyed the comfort and view from tables in lobby. We sat for hours in rocking chairs on front deck and enjoyed view and sound of the ocean. My father in law got to enjoy playing in the waves just the short walk across the sand in front of the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.
