Fine for the price

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Price was decent, good location.
Cons: Could be a little cleaner. Air conditioner was incredibly loud.
Location: Location was great! Very close to the beach without having to pay beachfront prices. Also in walking distance to Seacrets and Macky's.
It's your average OCMD hotel. I've seen better, but I've also seen much worse. It was decent for the price. Hotel staff was very nice. We were only there for a long weekend, so it was manageable, not sure if I'd stay there for a week-long vacation. Rooms could be a little cleaner, but this is true of most beach hotels. The air conditioner was loud to the point I lost sleep because of it. Also, the proximity to Seacrets is great if you want to hang out there. However, if you're not at Seacrets, the noise of people leaving Seacrets around 1-2am is enough to wake you up. Walls are thin, so noise from the hallway can also be an issue. You get one free parking space, but if you need more than that you may be screwed. I offered to pay for a second parking space, but they refused. I understand this policy if they are booked, but we went after Labor Day, and the hotel had several vacancies...you'd think they'd want to make a few extra bucks, while helping their guests at the same time. Nothing to brag about, but if I was looking for another cheap weekend trip to OCMD, I'd consider it.

Hotel was just okay.

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Easy access, convenience and reasonable rate.
Cons: New carpeting, updated bathroom area. Refresh lighting. More comfortable seating besides the bed.
Location: Centralized location.Attractions nearby.
You could visibly see certain areas are in need of upgrading. The plumbing fixtures in the bathroom, the stoppers in the basin and tub were broken. Water stood in both basin and tub, before slowly flowing out. Chairs in the seating area could have been more comfortable for long term sitting. Ants were visible on the table.

Not as good as it appears

Posted Sep 2, 2014
The hotel was not as good as the hotels website made it out to be. The elevators were sketchy and rocky. The room itself was by far too old fashioned. Small box TV, an air conditioner that read 60 but was way to hot to be 60. Also it could not have been any louder. The private beach fits adequately about 2 parties, let alone your dodging kayaks. The restaurant/pub is expensive. All in all, I expected a lot out of this hotel. The only good thing was that it is a block to the towns hottest bar-Seacrets. If you don't care about the hotel and just want to drink at Seacrets, this is the bar for you. If not, it's not worth the money.

Close to seacrets

It was an ok hotel. Room was very outdated and the shower was awful. No water pressure and it would be hot and cold. Very nosey in the halls and walls are paper thin. Only thing good about it was that it's walking distance to Seacrets.

Once a year out family spent a week in Ocean City,Maryland. We love the beach, my headband windsurfing on the princess on the bay sport club and my teen daugher paddle board and kayak there everyday. Very nice and convinient place to stay. Will come back next year.

Close to everything, the beach, the boardwalk!

Posted Aug 26, 2014
The rooms were a little outdated, but they were clean. The price was right, we enjoyed the outdoor pool. The indoor pool was cold, that part was the only disappointment. We would definitely stay there again!!

Decent hotel with good beach access.

Pros: It was close to the beach and restaurants.
Cons: See above.
Location: See above.
I enjoyed myself. We were not as close to the boardwalk as we wanted, but it was a close drive. The two negatives: 1) we only had one washcloth when we arrived for three people and we were initially denied additional washcloths until we had to demand a sufficient amount; and 2) when we visited the hotel restaurant, Finnegan's, we sat ourselves and waited about 15 minutes for service, the bartender did not acknowledge us nor did he summon a member of the wait staff (my family is Black and the bartender and the rest of the patrons at the bar were white, I might add).
