Beautiful location on the beach.Posted Nov 24, 2013
Pros: The situation, the staff and the beautiful gardens.
Cons: Coffee-making facilities & iron in rooms. Better range of affordable snacks. Free bottled or filtered water.
Location: Ocho Rios ok but all shops similar & full of tacky souvenirs. Toscanini's & Hibiscus Lodge were excellent places to eat. Good snorkelling on reef.
The hotel is beautiful and all the rooms have large balconies looking out over the sea. The service is impeccable from all staff. It's a slice of paradise and even better as there are no children. Very relaxing stay. My only quibbles are the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and the exorbitant prices charged for meals, snacks and drinks. We only had one dinner and two lunches there. We were expecting something amazing for the price but it was very mediocre. As it's miles from anywhere you are obliged to eat and drink there unless you take a taxi (which we did) or hire a car. Most of the clientele were obviously very wealthy but for those of us treating ourselves for a few days it could break the bank.

Pros: Friendly staff Great view quiet and relaxing It is very couple friendly
Cons: There was a cockroach under the bath towel...the room smelled musty and there was a general smell of roaches...we couldnt find any except for the one
Location: Beaches, Frenchmen fete in october, Gas station, supermarket and pharmacy nearby
I was blown away by this place. It forced me to relax...that is saying alot. No tv meant that my husband and I actually had a chance to explore the property and enjoy the amenities. The service was beyong my expectations. I met one of the owners and it felt like a family. They engaged the guests alot...as a group, we experienced turtles hatching...this will be one for the grandkids!

Amazing staffPosted Aug 29, 2013
The premium veranda rooms were really close to the water right on the beach. Clean and well kept resort. Room service sets up the table on the veranda with full linens, it was very nice having our meals right there on the water in our own room. The food was excellent no need to leave the resort. Very relaxing and romantic.

Lovely time would defiantly recommend to any one who wants a relaxing hotel, top notch service would do it again I stayed in room 20 we loved it, if you a smoker buy outside resort didn't come across any at hotel grounds , well again never asked ,the taxi driver got it or visit Bob Marley birth place in nine mile a lovely tour easy to come buy anywhere. Go to dunns falls and many of the other tours provided by local companies. If you can afford it try one of the villas they awesome enjoy my friend

Heavenly.....every moment!Posted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: Family run since the 1950's with love and pride. It was perfect then and is perfect now.
Cons: While this place is as near to perfect as I've ever experienced....the live dinner time music was....well dreadful. Way too cheesy.
Location: There is quite a lot to do near by but honestly the property has kayaking, stand up paddle boards, snorkeling...all for the guests use at no charge.
We've traveled all over the world on a quest for the perfect beach vacation. The search has officially ended. The Jamaica Inn is beyond perfect in every way. The staff welcomes you as both royalty and family from the moment you arrive. While we did book an upgraded room to a Premier Verandah it really isn't necessary. Every room in this iconic treasure of a hotel is awesome with large, beautifully furnished verandahs and that look right smack at those crazy Caribbean waters! What is there really to say about those translucent turquoise waters???? Just heaven.

The hotel has a great location with a very friendly staff. If you are in the mood for rest and relaxation the Jamaica Inn is the right place for you. A telephone is available for use but no television access. Very quiet!

ParadisePosted Apr 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved Jamaica Inn - stayed in a Premier Verandah Suite (on the beach) and it was the best decision to pay up for this category. Each morning we had breakfast delivered to our private verandah and ate overlooking the ocean. The service is wonderful. Breakfast and lunch were delicious with lots of great choices. Dinner was not quite as uniformly consistent, with most options being quite rich/unhealthy and not nearly as much variety. Very happy that we did not go for the all inclusive option since it is overpriced. Overall it was our favorite vacation to date.

Perfect getaway!Posted Nov 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
We loved Jamaica Inn, the property is beautiful and the attention to detail by the staff is amazing! The rooms are immaculate, the beach is swept daily, no trash anywhere. Hotel is close to the town of Ocho Rios but far away from Montego Bay airport. We are vegetarians, the hotel did not have many veggie choices, though management did specify that the chef would make us anything we wished. We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed our stay tremendously!

Welcoming, comfortable and safePosted Sep 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
I spent a week at Jamaica Inn from 20-27 August. The environment was exactly what I needed. My bedroom was beautifully presented fresh, high quality cotton white bedding. The equally elegant terrace gave a sense of living in an apartment rather than a hotel room. I felt as if I'd returned home. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The beach is one of the best I have been on and the beach staff are very attentive without being intrusive. I travelled alone but felt very comfortable and safe. The Manager, Mary was always friendly and enquired of my comfort whenever our paths crossed. It is one of the most peaceful, relaxing places. The Authentic Jamaican breakfasts are delicious options (especially if you like ackee). They include a large plate of freshly prepared local fruits - wonderful - and freshly brewed hot Blue Mountain coffee. I was able to get a lot of rest and slept like a baby. There were a couple of nights of heavy rains due to the edge of a tropical storm with lots of lightening and thunder but in the mornings the staff were there and everything seemed to carry out as normal - no dramas - very reassuring. My only slight complaint is that the wifi in my apartment didn't work well and so I had to go to public areas to access my emails on my laptop which wasn't always convenient. However, everything else was pretty perfect and so I look forward to my next visit.
