“Will Definitely Go Back”

I read so many negative reviews about this resort prior to my arrival, but I still took a chance and booked. I based my decision on price, size of resort and the fact that it was an all inclusive ADULTS only resort. Glad to report that Super Fun Beach Resort exceeded all my expectations. It was nicely laid out, it was a short walk to anywhere. The rooms were comfortable, food adequate and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. If you are the type of traveler who demands glamour, granite and glitz, this place is definitely NOT for you. But, if you are looking for a value priced vacation that attracts genuine and grounded people, this place will not disappoint you.

“Great get away and best value for the dollar.”

We know what to expect when we stay at the Ritz Carlton (when necessary for business) or a motel six ( so we don't stay there). This is neither. It is a great resort for the money. Great service, friendly people, good food (not gourmet), lots of fun activities (from the musical chairs, water slide, beach volleyball, to the pool and beach parties) and we enjoyed every minute of it. We know where to stay if we wanted total luxury (not here). We know the villas available with upright butlers, formal maids and chuffuers (not here). Gourmet meals (not here). We stayed here to have fun, relax from the hectic formal business world we leave temporarily, forget our proper english (NO PROBLEM MON), be young (in mind, and spirit ), and rekindle our fun relationship that gets lost easily in our daily lives. The food is good, the atmosphere is friendly, laid back and carefree, no kids to dodge, drinks are good, and there is plenty to do and not do. It is clean, fun, and friendly. Leave your mature side home and have some fun if you vacation here or just relax. The spa is nice (not the fanciest but okay) the pools are great, and the resort has a great layout. Don't even think about room service (available but not the greatest) unless you order the champagn and fruit combo (additional but worth it). We recommend instead to take your dinner plate to one of the rope suspended platform beds on the beach under the stars or in the garden area (much more romantic than room service).

close to everything and good shops and the towns,friendly staff eager to please. Greeted with kindness and a cold drink by staff and handled our arrival and departure with all details met. meals delightful with variety,Clean comfortable surroundings modern facilities. many activities on grounds day and night delightful shows like being on a cruise ship on land. Enjoyed.

“Exceeded our Expectations”

The resort is kept very clean and safe. The staff are all very welcoming and accommodating. Great entertainment, food, drinks, views.. EVERYTHING! By far exceeded our expectations for such an affordable vacation. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others :)

“Fun at RDFC”

Traveled there in February 2013 with 2 other couples. We all loved the resort and the people!! The hotel is in need of some repair, but don't let that stop you from going. The rooms are clean, the grounds are well kept, the food is very good, and the service (well, the service is on Jamaican time). The staff is friendly and answered any questions that I had. We definitely would stay there again. If you want long walks on the beach though, this is not the place for that. The beach was nice, but very small. Did not watch too much of the entertainment, but what we saw was pretty good. They work hard all day to make sure you have fun. Norene and Ione at the main bar are a hoot!! We had so much fun with them!! Craig and Errol at our pool made sure we had a good time. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Don't hesitate to go. Very relaxing resort.

“wonderful hotel”

We got to the hotel and everyone was very nice and helpful, our room was huge (all the rooms are the same) with a nice sitting area and room to have a cot for a third person. The landscaping was beautiful, they swept and raked every day (they even raked the beach every morning). The hotel does need some minor work done done which is understandable (items like some paint and cracks in the walkways etc) because the hotel is a little older but still wonderful. They had three pools with swim up bars ( one was for adults only). The food was good but not outstanding like a cruise ship, but still numerous varity at every meal. They also had a japanese and italian resturant that was free but needed reservations and their food was really good. We went to the sister hotel down the beach and it was a great time and great food. Food and drinks were all included at both. A lot of activities at both. 99 percent of the staff were perfect and the management was outstanding. I would go there again and have told all our kids they should go their.

“Overall great resort for couples or families”

Family of 6 (2 college age + 2 pre-teen girls + 2 mid-40s parents), 2 adjoining rooms. We have frequented island all-inclusive hotels often, The Royal Decameron Fun Caribbean Resort pretty much is as good as most. Pools, beaches, buffet dining, light entertainment. If you don't want to have to leave a resort & don't want to pay for each part of your day then this style works really well & we liked it here a lot. The staff was very helpful & cheerful. You can also use the sister hotel, Club Caribbean, but we ran out of time & didn't take advantage of that. We were told their snorkeling areas were good there & would have liked to try it as our weather was a bit rainy & the water was too rough for anything other than swimming. It was also very helpful to have brought water shoes, the rough water was cloudy & there were a lot of rocks & seaweed that the kids didn't like stepping on with bare feet. They also had security posted at several points on the property, not sure how needed they were but we did not feel unsafe in the least. There were plenty of chairs at pools & beach, & not crowded, but the bar areas were often loud & made it hard to relax near them. Still, they need more bars, even the kids getting ice water was time consuming because of the long lines loud people smoking & drinking. Water slide was fun but it was almost all adults, would have been nice for the kids to have others to play with. Food & rooms were good. No real cons. Overall a great time at great price!

“Fabulous experience and lots of fun”

Fun Caribbean is a wonderful place for everyone. They have excellent staff, very caring and they attend to your complaints /concerns promptly whether it is night or day. The food is also very good and the rooms are comfortable. I was especially impressed with a waiter called Travis, who made sure that everyone especially the children were well taken care of. I was also impressed with Mr. Prince the Beverage Manager who ensured that our concerns were handled in a timely and professional manner. Entertainment was excellent, you never had time to get bored and the entertainment crew had meals with you and ensured that you were comfortable. There was a chef who went out of his way to get more servings of mango for me. The Decameron dancers are excellent and the lady who sang was really great. Man, I even learnt how to dance the salsa. Then the Japanese restaurant was terrific, the food is prepared right at your table, it was fun and delicious. There is one area that needs to be improved and that is the snack bar. I had to wait far too long to be served.
