Untrained staffPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The pool is beautiful and was staffed with life guards which was nice to see.
Location: There were a couple of garden/market stores very near to this hotel that were nice to visit as out-of-towners. We drove into the city, nice places.
This facility could be a great place to visit, but needs some work. We arrived on Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was closed. We stayed through Wednesday. The restaurant was only open for a few short hours in the AM to serve breakfast and one evening of the nights we were there. We asked for a wake-up call Monday morning, but never rec'd it. On Monday evening I called the front desk to request information about a local restaurant they featured in their room booklet. The gal at the front desk didn't know a thing about it, actually saying to me "that her phones are ringing off the hook". So, I walked down to the front desk to get help. She didn't know a thing about this restaurant. The pool is beautiful and was staffed with life guards which was nice to see. The bar had a large screen TV that projected on the wall, but wasn't working as the tube needed repair. It was such a disappointment. Definitely not worth the room rates they have listed on their website. We got a much better rate, so didn't feel quite so ripped off.

Olympia May 2014Posted Jun 3, 2014
This was a pleasant experience. Venue was a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Ample free parking, easy access in and out, room large, clean, overlooking pools and small lake. We were very pleased.

Dog ShowPosted May 3, 2014
Good experience although much of the hotel and grounds are off limits to dogs. No blankets on beds. Had to ask for them. Parking areas very inconvenient to rooms. This once elegant resort hotel may have seen better days.

It could have been better....Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: With some staff training and some maintenance, this could be a nice place because the property is large and has 2 nice pools.
Cons: Train the staff and maintain the basics. Change the batteries in the key card readers on the hotel room doors. I was one of many that had issues.
Location: There were very good places to eat near by.
The property seemed like it had seen better days. My room key mechanism failed 4 times in 2 days. We had no hot water the next morning for showers. The staff was inexperienced and didn't know you could charge a meal to your room.

Attended convention held there.Posted Feb 24, 2014
Cons: Distance to parking and convenient access to rooms is their major problem
Facility is in a convenient location. If you stay there you need to be prepared to walk...a lot. Rooms are a considerable distance from the front entrance which is the only access to all rooms. Hotel staff is very friendly, but seem to be shorthanded. Rooms could use updating, particularly the bathrooms. Beds and linens are second-rate. Parking, unless you are among the first there for the day, will force you to walk quite a distance in the weather.

Lots of space and viewsPosted Oct 28, 2013
Beautiful location. Seems a little dated and rundown. Bathtub and sink were leaking in our room. Huge room but no furniture so was not cozy. Liked the bar and restaurant on site. Indoor pool was nice. The breakfast buffet at an additional charge was fine. Seemed pricey for what we got.

No Badger's on TVPosted Oct 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
We would have liked to be able to watch the Badger football game. Very disappointed with that.
