I've extended my stay. I like the location, beach and city both very close. Hotel is on a quiet street. Staff are friendly and helpful. Football field next to hotel is the only noise, but also something to watch. Many practice and games. Very nice place to stay. Food is good.

The "hotel" was a little apartment. We had a separate bedroom (very comfy bed for European standards - it was also queen sized, again a rarity in Europe). It had a kitchen area, stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator... Living room and a bathroom (again large for European standards) with a washer in it.
There is a department store just around the corner for food/water/detergent, etc... Don't purchase their stuff, you can get everything for 1/10th the price in the department store.
The location is unbelievable. Centered right on the main pedestrian street in the center city. A few blocks from all the sites.
The staff was very helpful, most spoke some English, a few spoke fluent English.
We took a catacomb tour from one of the hotel employees (Julia). She did a wonderful tour, it was just two of us and her. At the catacombs we saw numerous tour buses herding 30+ people per group. I highly recommend her for an individual tour, even if you don't stay at this hotel, you can still book a tour through her in the lobby.
For European and Ex-Soviet standards, this hotel was Excellent!

On my first visit to the Ukraine and Odessa, my expectations were not set very high; however I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, its staff and all the accommodations they offer as well as the city and its people. Rooms in Eastern Europe are not in keeping with American ideas, but my room was bright very clean well furnished and never at a lose for anything, the staff was exceptional by any measure. I will visit this hotel again.
