“Great deal!”

This was a great choice for us. The rooms were clean, the fitness room had great equipment, the breakfast was not bad. The location is across the street from lots of good restaurants, bars and entertainment. Would stay there again.

“Extremely friendly & welcoming”

As soon as I arrived I immediately felt welcome. The women at the front desk was extremely polite and very helpful throughout my stay. Housekeeping did an awesome job up keeping my room and very polite. Has a very nice fitness center and jacuzzi. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

“Well kept hotel in downtown Ogden”

We really enjoyed our brief stay here. There was a bit of a walk from the parking garage, but the hotel rooms were clean, newly updated, and comfortable. The room doors did bang closed rather loudly, so we heard people coming and going from their rooms during the night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

“Best hotel in Ogden”

The staff at this hotel was great, the room was very clean, the bed comfortable, the breakfast good, and we had quiet nights in an inside room--no view, but we slept well. The lobby furniture and decor is done beautifully for the art deco building this hotel is located within. If we had a gripe it would be that our television buzzed a bit while on, (I understand they are getting ready to replace all the older televisions with flat screens--everything else in our room appeared to be quite new), but we ended being so busy while there that by the time we thought of it every day we were too tired to worry about it. We were prepared (from other reviews) for the parking, which is around the corner--it's a very safe area, however, and a short walking distance--especially if you take the parking garage elevator and walk through the outdoor sort of plaza area, and past the Egyptian Theatre (during the week you can cut through the conference center doors into the hotel). Most of the downtown restaurants are a couple of blocks down--but we walked, even in the cold weather. Didn't get a chance to use the workout room, although originally that was one of the reasons we booked here. All in all a very good experience.

Area recommendations

Downtown has some interesting restaurants, breweries, and often has events going on (such as Winterfest, when we were there). Check out the Saloman Center (and the historic Episcopal Church next to it), the Ice Sheet up on "the bench", and of course, Snow Basin or Powder Mountain.

“Ogden Hampton is pretty good.”

The hotel was nice enough. The front desk staff is easy to work with and polite. The room service missed us the first day because they came early and we had asked them to come back but they didn't. Otherwise, it was a positive experience. The location of the hotel is good as far as being in Ogden.

Clean, up-dated rooms/bathrooms, awesome beds, great breakfast, great hot tub, courteous service, great rates! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Ogden!
