The staff was very courteous. We asked for a room downstairs and it only took a couple of minutes to get it switched around. Very accommodating. Room was very clean and well stocked. Beds were kind of hard but overall we will definitely go back.

Lots to like about this property. It's convenient, pet-friendly, clean and close to grocery, gas stations and shopping. The room itself was lacking -- no hotpad for oven, no dishwashing soap. Toilet kept running, heat/ac fan is very loud. So not a good nights sleep. But only there for one night and it served my purposes.

For the cost in the off-season, this was a great place to stay. The property is older and needs some updates, but it allows pets, which is wonderful! Very nice and helpful folks at the front desk.

Our room had multiple yellow jackets in it. My friend that I was traveling with got stung. I am highly allergic. I was not happy that they were no recommendations made by the hotel to accommodate us to another room. Then our toilet broke twice and the night manager, Sandir apparently did not value the opinion of a woman, and spoke very aggressively towards us, and told us if we didn’t like it, we could leave. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody.

It’s a good place if you are passing through. Very comfortable and reachable. The staff is very friendly and there is usually decent crowd staying there. The room was clean and well maintained. The only issue we had was a mosquito or two getting in the bathroom. Not sure from where. Otherwise no complaints.

The room was clean, bed comfortable, but it is their personnel that sets Anchor Inn & Cottages apart from other motels. The man who checked me in, and the woman who checked me out in the morning were so friendly, it made me feel that they really do appreciate their guests.

Nice, clean facility with a friendly staff. The property seemed well taken care of. The only complaint we have is that the heater/air conditioner was quite noisy in the room we were in. Otherwise, a very nice stay!

The room smelled so terrible from the cleaning products when we first got there and when the smell wore off, the smells of urine in the carpet was so overwhelming that we couldn’t stand to be in the room. Had to wash the smell out of our hair and clothes.

My stay at this hotel was a nightmare from start to finish. I had originally booked a four-night stay, but I couldn't bear to stay more than a few hours. The moment we arrived, it was clear that this place was a health hazard. The bathroom was infested with black mold, a serious health concern. The kitchen was even worse, with a shocking amount of what appeared to be cockroach poop everywhere. The sight of it was revolting and utterly unacceptable. To make matters worse, there were exposed wires and electrical outlets without covers throughout the room, creating a serious safety hazard. It's a disaster waiting to happen, especially for families with children. The bed sheets were covered with pet hair, which is not only unhygienic but also a violation of basic cleanliness standards. I couldn't imagine sleeping in those conditions. Overall, this hotel was a disgrace and a danger to anyone staying there. Unfortunatly we arrived very late and were forced to stay for a few hours until other hotel offices ooen, we left as soon as the office opened and gave us a full refind, and I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to stay far, far away. It's simply horrible.

This was a last minute booking for us (three adults) one of whom was participating in a triathlon 20 minutes away. The customer service was excellent, thoughtful on top of everything we needed. The trolley takes you into Ogunquit so you can leave your car at the hotel (its a 5 minute drive). The pool was lovely, the location is great - not in the middle of all the bustle.

Started staying at this property 1990. It has changed hands several times now, last owner America's best value had let property go a bit when I was there few years back. Was pleasantly suprised that new owners have invested. Property is in great condition and staff. Was very helpful and accomodating. Only issue is trying turn left out of the property. So much growth in wells and so much traffic.
