Very welcoming B&B

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: See above, if you like eggs benedict they are the best I've had, with the possible exception of Brennan's in New Orleans.
Cons: No, this had to be the nicest B&B we have visited.
Location: See above
We stayed in July, and were very impressed with the innkeepers knowledge of the area, welcoming spirit and great breakfasts. Charmingly decorated our room in the back of the 2nd floor, was a very good size and nicely furnished with B&B period furnishings. Wells is centrally located between two great Southern Maine towns - Ogunquit & Kennebunkport.

Mike and Bill are perfect hosts. It is exactly as advertised. Very clean, beautiful furnishings, great breakfast, close to beaches and resturants. Can take the trolley in either direction so can save on parking fees.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast

Posted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: Beautifully decorated. Comfortable. Great owners w/ an awesome dog. Wonderful food. What more is there?
Cons: It's perfect
Location: The town of Wells is very quaint with shops and eateries. We also took a drive out to view the Bush compound. Very easy to find right on the main rd
What a wonderful place. Bill and Michael are delightful. The place is immaculate and decorated beautifully. We had a lovely breakfast and a warm send off when we left. Don't miss this B & B.

This B&B had the best service! From the home-cooked breakfasts, to the home-made cookies in the dining room, this was e best vacation I've been on, and the best hotel. Snickers will always greet you the first time you arrive, while Bill and Michael will make sure everything is perfect. They are the most welcoming hosts I've encountered on a vacation! A definite repeat stay!!!

Maine Coast Trip

Posted Sep 27, 2013
Cons: The view
This was the first of 3 places we were to stay in Maine. The place was great with the staff very attentive to everything. It was close to everything. The only neg thing was the view. Was on the main road and the view was across the street from the water but a local developer was in the process of building Condos blocking the view.

Lovely and welcoming Bed & Breakfast

Posted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Centrally located, quiet, comfortable, beautiful, romantic, great food, friendly innkeepers
Location: On the border of Wells and Oguinquit. Easy trolley ride to either downtown Oguinquit or to Kennebunkport. Lots of restaurants, shops, and beaches
We loved our stay at Holiday Guest House. Bill and Michael, the innkeepers, were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They gave us great tips on things to do in the area. The B&B is centrally located, right on the border of Wells and Oguinquit. We took the trolley south to Oguinquit one day (easy to catch!) and north to Kennebunkport the next day. The house and grounds are beautiful. Our room was lovely, quiet, and comfortable. Our favorite parts of the stay were the friendliness of the innkeepers and the AMAZING breakfasts (day 1: French toast with blueberries and strawberries and the best bacon EVER; day 2: yummy Eggs Benedict cooked to order; day 3: amazing blueberry pancakes with crispy sausage). If you're looking for a relaxing location for a romantic getaway, Holiday Guest House is a great choice!

Great place to stay!

Pros: Mike and Bill greet each guest like they know you from the old neighborhood. They are super gracious hosts and the breakfasts are AMAZING!
Location: Two minute walk to catch the trolley to shopping, beach and restaurants.
Old colonial house with a few unique features like steep stairs, a few creaky floor boards and very nice antique door hardware throughout. Even though the house is old the level of comfort in the room was amazing. Beautifully decorated with many of the same amenities you find in a regular hotel.
