“simple and worry free”

Loved the price,location and staff. The only thing that needs improvement is the mattress. The beds are less than cozy, painful is more like it. The room was clean and the location was perfect. Coffee and breakfast is a bonus!

not fancy but very good value for the$.Friendly helpfull staff,Pretty view of tidal marsh river from balcony(we took advantage of kayak rental from hotel)convient shuttle van to beach.,lots of seafood restaurants (check out stutsys if your a red sox fan)lots of souvinier shops,ogunquit beach is great however if you get there at low tide(recommended)be sure to set up way back tide comes all the way up and quickly.Fresh waffles,cereal,bagels,pastry etc..for breakfast coffee anytime in lobby.,If you dont mind stairs since there are no elevators or wifi in the lobby only(not a problem for my wife and I)and the beach is a mile away(aformentioned shuttle and town has trolley service that runs all day for $1:50 each way)you can also use your car but I wouldnt. we would definatley go back.

“Wonderful hotel!”

Very pleasant and helpful front desk. Nice view. We were on the third floor. Had a balcony and river view. We could see the ocean. Quiet. Clean and comfortable. Will be going back next year.

when I left a generous tip for the room attendant, the service was good. on the second evening I neglected to leave any tip, and there was little to no service

“pleasant stay”

nice play to stay. Everything was perfect ,almost. We are planning on going back there next year but we would definitively have our breakfast somewhere else: food was very ordinary (the oatmeal not eatable) and the attendant not so "welcoming". We had a nice view from the room :a pond with ducks and nice field. Very quiet area.

If you want a place to sleep, then this place is good. If you want a place that doesn't smell in the room, mildew - then don't come. If you want a beautiful view, the hotel is good. If you want a room worth the money with dishes for the soap, and faucet handles and shower handles that aren't dirty looking and very dated, then don't go here. If you like breakfast that's OK, there is considerable selection but again, low budget. If you don't care, then come to this hotel. If you want sheets that are not thin and old, towels that don't have holes and wear and tear, then go elsewhere. This place is interesting, pricey, but low budget all the way, don't be fooled by the registration area boasting a large beautiful window and space.....it's really a large room that belongs more in a Howard Johnsons Hotel. I won't be back..disappointing except for the view. They can fix this if they care, but sadly I don't sense that they do...they can get the money and not provide the soap dish, place for shampoos and creams, just bare minimum with strange bump in bed, Pillows stacked high and strange!

“Nice for the price”

If you are unable to walk down a steep hill, up a fairly long staircase, or carry luggage up those stairs, make it clear that you cannot have a room in building # 3. There is no level ground area to get to that building and there is no elevator. The view from the hotel is lovely. It looks over a Rachel Carson Nature Preserve all the way to the ocean front. The staff is friendly and the included breakfast is very decent. Even though the hotel is directly off the main drag, the property is quiet and peaceful.
