On a retail park

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Location: Beauvais cathedral is worth a visit, not least for its astronomical clock.
The standard campanile experience, but hotel is due for a refit

LOcation to Airrport

Posted Jul 24, 2013
Location: In the middle of some warehouses and box stores
1) This is a motel in Nth. American structure = 2 floors in L shape, open balcony, a bit run down + a small restaurant. Clean, O.K. for 1 night 2) It is 8 Ks from Beauvais Tille airport, not 1 K. as noted in previous Expedia. There are some hotels, in better shape, closer

Not disappointed for what I paid

Posted Jul 24, 2013
Despite the time spend finding the hotel, the receptionnist did make up with her kindness. One bedroom at the front was noisier than the one at the back but the bed was confortable.

Find somewhere else!

Location: on an industrial estate. You need transport.
From the disinterested and cool reception to the over heated room with no chance of respite we decided that this hotel is in dire need of updating! even a cheap table fan (the Auchan supermarket is just across the road!!) would have made it a little more bearable, given the heatwave we are experiencing! The place is very tired, with a broken wall light in our room and it just looks like a run down motel! Late at night some guests arrived from Mexico and the US. They all were in the same predicament. Their flights delayed, they arrived after 23:00, and there is NOONE around! No emergency numbers or anything. They had paid for rooms, which they could not get into. We ferried 4 of them them to find alternative accommodation (they had arrived by taxi and had no transport of their own!) Appalling! I mentioned this to the receptionist in the morning, and just got an unsympathetic shrug!

Good value for money.

We stayed here for two nights to enable us to take the train into Paris for a day. The hotel was fine and definitely value for money. However it is 2.5mls out of the centre of Beauvais and there is not a recognisable path into the centre so it possibly would not be ideal for families with young children. However there are lots of places nearby to eat out - including places suitable for children. The hotel knew that three of us would be staying but there were only pillows, towels and cups for two. We did get the tea tray topped up but it was the same the second day. Hint for the receptionist - learn to smile!!

OK IF YOU NEED A PLACE FOR YOUR HEAD

Pros: LOCATION
Cons: Cleanliness of the bathroom
Location: Very covenient and easy to find + close to restaurants and shops
Very convenient if travelling up the A 16 - close to restaurants , shops etc. The room was very cramped - almost impossible to get into one side of the double bed. The bathroom had mould on the wall. The towels were exceptionally 'hard'.WeI have stayed in better Campanile Hotels

OK for a stop over

Posted Oct 5, 2012
Location: Reasonably easy to find
The hotel is hidden away behind an industrial unit and the initial approach does not give a good first impression - The outside of the buildings are in need of repainting and the parking area needs tidying and repairing - Fortunately the rooms and restaurant were up to agood standard The hotel is used as an overnight stop over for groups of up to 60 cyclists participating in Lonfon to Paris charity rides every Friday May to September so the restaurant is fully booked and there is a lot of activity although this did not extend late into the night and spoil our sleep
