A familiar hotel, have been there before.

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: I know what I'm getting, have been here before.
Cons: Having the Vancouver Sun or Province available.
Location: Ok.
Didn't have time to get any enjoyment out of it. Just an overnight stay, was visiting with relatives. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet.

We stayed in the Business centre, which was separate from the main hotel. Very old which needs a major overhaul, the bathroom was very out dated and needed a refresh. There were several hairs in the bathroom, which were not ours. Not very clean. The fan came on in the bathroom with the light and it was very noisy. They did offer to move us to another room however said "All the fans made a similar noise". The bed was good as not too soft. The kids enjoyed the pool.

Except the house keeping staff so lazy, the hotel is at a good location & Good condition.

Room smells like old, dirty socks.

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Not much
Cons: All the things we mentioned above.
Location: Kelowna Ramada
Not real good. We have stayed at other Ramada Hotels and always enjoyed. The Kelowna Ramada was not good. First we noticed the dirty sock smell - probably was the carpet. Next - TV did not work. Called the front desk said that might be able to send someone to fix it. With about 10 minutes worked we fixed it ourselves - for some reason the cable box was under the dresser and unplugged. Bathroom sink took forever to drain. Main light that is switched on fron the entrance did not work - we finally figure out the lightbulb was so loose it was almost falling out.

Be prepared for large deposit at check in

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Hotel requires an upfront large deposit to stay there. I was precharged $1000 at check in for three nights. Hallways and elevators are not air conditioned. Our room was in a building detached from the main part of the hotel and very run down. Couldn't plug a charger into plugs because they were too old and lose to hold the plugs in.
