too short

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: the d├ęcor,
we soon realized that our one night stay was not long enough to enjoy all amenities, since earliest check in is 4:00pm, and check out is 11:am. It is necessary to stay 2 nights minimum. otherwise very lovely atmosphere, and very original design. Room was luxurious.

Spectacular Spa

Pros: The spa.
Cons: The restruant could be even better for the prices they charge.
Location: Location is up on a hill overlooking Lake Okanagan, close to Predator ridge golf course.
Location is lovely. Spa facilities are fabulous. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms are comfortable and quiet.

Nice view. Terrible restaurant.

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Decor a bit kitschy. Rooms are great. Amazing view and comfy beds. Service average. "Fine dining" Restaurant terrible. Service was inattentive. food uninspired, low quality ingredients and poorly executed. Not worth half of what they charge. Amateur is what comes to mind. Would stay here again for the view and sauna/steam but avoid the restaurant. Buffet was ok. I did the express checkout but beware , line was about 50 people long to check out no joke. 11am checkout way too early.

Insufficient Soundproofing

Posted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: View of Okanagan Lake is stunning.
Cons: Could not get a good night's rest.
Location: Perched high in the hills between two beautiful lakes.
Voices of people in the hallway passing outside were so audible it was though there were right beside the bed. Sleep was constantly interrupted until well after 2am. Likewise, there was insufficient muffling of the sounds of people in the room above who seemed to be moving furniture most of the night.A lack of soundproofing is disappointing at any hotel, but given the cost of the room is was completely unacceptable at Sparkling Hill.
