“Brand new hotel”
I took my mother to the Okemos/Lansing area to see The Lion King at the Wharton Center at nearby Michigan State University. The room had a kitchen with stovetop and full untensils, refrigerator, dishwasher and a toaster, which was perfect for making a nice meal without having to leave to go to a restaurant. The hotel had a beautful courtyard and in season, you could even sit out and barbecue if you wished. A high point was the location, we were only five miles away from Michigan State University where the show was playing. Another high point was the fantastic hot breakfast served daily which included sausage, eggs, bacon, cereal, waffles, boiled eggs and various fruit. The only low point was that my mother has to sleep sitting up because of breathing problems and she wound up on the couch in the room. The couch was extremely uncomfortable and I don't think she slept two minutes the whole weekend. Other than that, and a driveway that was a little hard to find, the stay was great.
