Good if you have a carPosted May 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
To clarify, this hotel is only "close" to things if you have your own car to get around. The hotel staff is friendly, and does try to help, but they seem a bit understaffed, as during the day I would often be struggling for attention from the one staff member on duty at reception who I needed directions from, while they also directed cars in and out of the lot, or checked people in and out, or any number of other things. That said, the rooms are clean and in good condition. The hotel is a bit old, but not run down or anything. They serve a decent breakfast, though they do have the usual Japanese misconception of just what is an American breakfast. (I recommend ordering it anyway, just for amusement.) The surrounding neighborhood is pretty seedy looking, in that there seem to be a number of strip clubs around. All said, I would consider this a good option if you have rented a car for your trip. Otherwise, I would suggest finding a place a little closer to things.

Great Stay would do it againPosted Apr 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Loved this place - first time in Okinawa - was there for a work trip all by myself and dont speak any japanese - the team here helped me make sure I had what i needed to navigate the area - the internet was awesome- the room was clean and efficient - I didnt expect a westernized hotel and I didnt get one - but it was all i needed and the price was great. Super easy to get anywhere you needed to go from this centralized location.

Great no frills hotel near Gate 2 for Kadena.Posted Dec 14, 2013
As long as you are looking for a no-frills hotel you will find a great experience at Crown. Friendly staff, clean rooms. The rooms are large by Japanize standards with American size beds. Walking distance to Gate 2. Choice of traditional Japanize or American breakfasts.

Comfortable hotel close to basePosted Aug 28, 2013
Clean and comfortable room, with friendly staff who spoke English well. 15$ taxi ride to the beach and walking distance to most amentities. Perfect location if visiting military members.

Crown Hotel OkinawaPosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: The fact that the hotel was close to Kadena Air base and made it easy to get on Base.
Cons: The facility needs to be renovated. the Place look like a 1970's throw-back!!!
Location: One the other advantages is that it's close to shops out on Gate II. They should also try to have a rental company in the Hotel.
The Hotel was old and look liked it needs renovation, however the bed was very comfortable....The total price did not include breakfast. For the amount of the charges per night They should of included Breakfast....

Close to Kadena AFBPosted Feb 26, 2013
Pros: WiFi in every room
Location: 2 minutes away from Kadena AFB, 15 minutes from American Village
The hotel is close to gate 2 of Kadena AFB. The room was comfy and clean and has wifi in every room. The staff was very polite and helpful, especially Hisa, She helped us reserve a room at another hotel after we already checked out (crown hotel had no vacancy available). She also recommended places to eat food at and go shopping. Their map of the hotel and its surroundings was very helpful if you plan to walk around. I would reserve a room again here the next time I'm in Okinawa.

Great stay for military familiesPosted Nov 6, 2012
Cons: Age of the rooms
Location: Very convenient
The staff was so friendly and the quality of service was excellent. This is an older hotel so it isn't as fancy as something newer but the staff and service makes up for it. The location is very convenient to Kadena Air Force Base, which is what we wanted.

Don't waste your money or time!!Posted Oct 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
The smell was the worst. It was so bad that I could stay in the room longer than one night. The conditions and size of the room was horrid. I could not get out of there quick enough. Also the hotel is not in a safe area at all. I wish you luck if you choose this hotel.
