Beautiful settingPosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental. We especially enjoyed the gorgeous beach and all of the activities that the Intercontinental had to offer. We were disappointed to find that we had two twin beds in our room, after requesting a Queen or King. We were told by hotel staff that the hotel does not have any rooms with larger beds, except for suites. I did not find this information anywhere on the website or in reviews prior to booking the hotel. We also found that we had to drive 20-30 minutes each night to go to dinner, however I think that's the trade off for being right on the beach. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would likely stay again.

Dear Sarah, Thank you very much for staying with us last month, and thank you as well for your comments about your stay. Sorry about the bed, we should have advised you when the request was made. We have ensured that the information regarding the size of the bed on our official English website is up to date. We are looking forward to welcoming you and your husband back to our resort in near future. Yours Truly Jean-Marc Poli General Manager

Fantastic getaway resortPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-nights stay at the InterContinental ANA Manza Beach Resort. Staff were friendly and accomodating. We made good use of the facilities - indoor hot spa pool, walking treks along Manza beach, in-house shops and restaurants. All rooms had amazing ocean views and were spotlessly clean. This was definitely one of the best beach resorts we have been to. The only bad thing was leaving the hotel.

Great place to relaxPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We spent five great days at the Manza Beach Resort, which occupies a beautiful cape along the west coast of Okinawa. Our room was large and nice with a great view, but unfortunately the beds were rock hard. The pool and the beach were nice though (We preferred the slightly larger sun beds and umbrellas at the pool), as were the four hotel restaurants. The Wi-Fi worked well and there was an English movie channel.

Very helpful staff, but no bottled water!Posted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: The Blue look
Cons: No bottled water
Lovely hotel with wonderful staff! I love how you can pick your pillows. It was something new. However, for its price and status, they should really upgrade some of the outdated decor of the rooms. My biggest disappointment was that they did not have complimentary bottled water included with the rooms. That part did not make sense to me, especially when other hotels with lower ratings offered bottled water.

A Great Get Away at Manza BeachPosted Apr 1, 2013
Pros: It is right on the beach - all by itself.
Location: It takes about an hour by taxi to the hotel from the airport in Naha. There is also a bus but that takes approximately 2 hours.
I was at this hotel with my wife and 16 year old son. The room was large enough for our needs. We didn't select a larger more expensive room so rating the comfort of the room as a 4 instead of a 5 may have more to do with our choice than the actual qualties of the room. That said, the beds were a bit on extra firm side so they were OK but didn't have the luxurious cushiony feel that many higher end hotels now offer. The service was excellent which is typical in Japan. The restaurants were good, The food was fresh and well prepared. The prices were reasonable for Japan. (Resaonable in Japan is about double or 2.5 times what a "reasonnable" dinner costs in the US.)The enviornment surrounding the hotel was very pleasant - perfect for families as there are quite a few choices of activities. The water was clear. The tide pools were interesting, We caught fish on the four hour fishing trip which took us quite a ways offshore to an island. The restaurant cooked the fish we caught and prepared sashimi for us at a fairly reasonable price. The swimming pool is shallow throughout but attractive. The gift shops are well stocked with a good assortment of choices from local artwork to clothes to food items. The OFURO - the public bath was clean and relaxing. I would be happy to return again.

Poor service at InterContinental ANA Manza BeachPosted Dec 25, 2012
Pros: Nice location with beautiful view.
Cons: Customer service.
We went to Okinawa in December, the weather was pretty warm and A/C was still a must. The A/C in the room failed on the second day. I called the front desk a bit after 5 pm after getting back to the hotel. I was told the maintainence crew only worked from 8 to 5 and if I expected anything done, I should call back the next day. I suffered throughout that evening. When I mentioned this matter to the front desk during my checking out next morning, all I got was a blank stare. Considering the room rates, this whole incident is just not acceptable..

Outstanding!Posted Oct 14, 2009
We spent an extended weekend with children. The hotel location is absolutely the best in Okinawa, hotel is pristine, so is the beach... Beach is calm, shallow for kids. Food, especially in the great Japanese restaurant, was inexpensive to our big surprise. We would definitely like to visit again.

The perfect getaway!!!Posted May 18, 2009
The quality of the hotel along with its location can only be described as perfect! The rooms were immaculate and spacious with panoramic views of Manza Beach. The facilities provided a range of activities that would suit most peoples taste. The staff were very helpful and courteous. There are a variety of restaurants to suit everybodys tastes. You must try the evening buffet! The photos within the hotel description do not do it justice.
