Cons: More transportation options if you are not driving.
I went to Okinawa to visit my son who is stationed at one of the bases nearby. I have never been to Japan, and I traveled there by myself. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport which is very convenient, especially if you are not renting a car. The shuttle also makes several trips a day to the American Village area. Otherwise, the location is not convenient to local attractions unless you have transportation. Most of the staff spoke little English, but they were extremely friendly and helpful, and we usually communicated without a problem. If needed, they could find someone that spoke more English. (I attempted to learn a little Japanese before I got there, but I found they usually knew what I wanted before I could recall the Japanese I had learned....) The rooms were large and had nice balconies. The carpet had some stains, but the room was always clean otherwise. Nice little gift shop in lobby and small "convenience" store.

Pros: The views from the restaurant and bar were beautiful. The staff members were helpful and kind.
From the moment we stepped in the door, everything about our stay was fabulous. Check-in was simple. Upon checking in, I inquired whether a sushi-making class would be available the next day. We were happy to hear that spots were available for us. The class was amazing. A translator was available so that we understood what the chef was explaining. We were given great step-by-step instructions. The translator happily took some pictures for us. After we finished making the sushi, we were seated at our own table with a breath-taking view of the ocean, and given additional, delicious food.

Hotel employes were excellent . I was traveling with my mother who has slight dementia. Each one of employees services were personal level. I could not say anything other than hotel and it's personnel were excellent.

Not the newest hotel around but the rooms are a good size, well maintained and clean. The staff are courteous and helpful and the buffet breakfast is very good indeed.

Nice Hotel, the staff is very attentive. The food service is top notch. The views are great. To do anything outside of the hotel will require the use of a vehicle as there is not much within convenient walking distance.
