“An oasis in Oklahoma City”

Two nights stay, the check in was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, the lobby was very impressive with double height ceiling and full wood paneling - full of character and a nice place to sit. The restaurant and bar were very comfortable and while we didn't get dinner the breakfast was superb, Fitness center small but good equipment - pool minuscule but hot tub a treat. The service was exemplary, friendly and helpful.

“Nice stay?”

Nice stay if you can get past the front desk, the rest of the staff is nice and willing to accomodate. Front desk was bothered to check us in almost to the point of being rude...sorry we didn't get the parking instructions the first time but we drove around the block enough times to figure it out. Haven't been dismissed like that since the last time I ws at an airline counter!!!!

Great location! Our first time with this hotel but we're down there allot because of Bricktown, OU Football & Thunder games.

“wonderful stay in excellent location”

we really enjoyed our stay. the hotel is in excellent location and the staff were very friendly - the cook even sauteed our calamari rather than fried it, at our request, even though we ordered room service. Impressive. i would recommend it highly.

“Top notch in every way”

This hotel is a gem. It is classy and elegant, yet comfortable and cozy. The service is fabulous. Both the hotel bar and restaurant offer a variety of fine food and drinks. The location couldn't be better, just blocks away from Bricktown, the convention center, the Museum of Art, the botanical gardens and more.

Dining

We dined at The Mantel which was walking distance from the Skirvin. Excellent food and wine and a nice stroll back to the hotel.

“I would not stay at this hotel again.”

The reservation process was difficult with the Skirivin, and the Skirvin was uncooperative and unwilling to accommodate my needs. The front desk service was poor and unresponsive. There was no service in the bar....we had to wait over 30 minutes to get a drink and they were not busy (there were only three in my party)! The hotel was loud both nights I was there, and I could not sleep until very late in the evening. The only positive in the weekend was the excellent service I received from the bell captain (Kevin) that helped me throughout my stay. I thought the rates were too high for a hotel in Oklahoma City. I would not stay in this hotel again.

“Very satisfied !! Would definetly stay there again.”

It was a very interesting hotel. There is a lot of neat history there. The room was large and comfortable. Nostalgic but with a modern twist. (Nice) I would definitely stay there again and would reccomend it to anyone looking for a downtown hotel in Oklahoma City near the Bricktown/Convention area.

Area recommendations

There has been a lot of development in the downtown Bricktown area over the last couple of years. If you haven't visited in awhile, it is definitely worth the trip.

Dining

Bricktown offers numerous upscale restaraunts including Mickey Mantel's SteakHouse and Toby Keith's Bar and Grill. A lot of local favorites to choose from. Everything from pizza/pasta to burgers, and Mexican Food.

Nightlife

Numerous night-clubs, horse drawn carriage rides, large movie theater (Harkins) , and the riverwalk with it's shops and live bands.

“A Class Act”

A clean, classy hotel. Friendly, helpful staff from reservation desk, doormen, limo driver, bartender, room attendants, and food servers. Close and convenient to downtown amenities and tourist attractions.

“Great Experience, FRIENDLY STAFF!!”

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Skirvin and were particularly impressed with the friendliness of the staff at the desk. They were super helpful in every way and even gifted us with free breakfast in bed for my 40th birthday! The Skirvin is beautiful and comfortable...we would recommend it!
