"Perfect location for vacation in Montreal"
We went to Montreal to meet relatives visiting for the first time from Australia. They loved the location for its energetic, French vibe and its proximity to historic sites, wonderful restaurants, bars and shopping. The hotel is situated in the historic district, not far from pedestrian only streets where one can take leisurely strolls and drink in the sights, sounds and aromas of this unique city in North America.

A top-notch hotel right in the heart of old Montreal. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they went the extra mile to do things like putting the rollaway bed we needed in the room prior to our check-in. They were also very helpful and knowledgeable about great places to eat and sites to see. The only negative was the noise level from the roof of the hotel, which provides an amazing view of Montreal at night that draws a lot of people up there. Either plan to be up late or stay on one of the lower floors if you plan to go to bed before midnight-1am on Friday/Saturday nights.

"Good location to explore the old town and the port"
We chose the hotel based on location and reviews and it did not disappoint. The room was lovely and was very clean. Hotel provides Molton Brown toiletries which were very nice. Lovely substantial towels provided, and the robe and slippers made it very comfortable to relax in the room. Turn down service was very welcome and they leave a small bottle of water and close the curtains, put on music and empty the bins. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. There is a free in-room safe and a mini bar. We were aware they do not provide kettle in the room so took our own as we enjoy a late night and early morning coffee.

"Great hotel in old town Montreal"
Everything about this hotel is amazing, however there is major construction going on the 2 streets that border this hotel. They start at 7am with trucks backing up and jackhammering. Check that out before you book.

Lofts du Vieux-Port

"Great concept, work in progress."
We stayed in loft 806. Beautiful space and well decorated. We stayed with my parents who took the main floor bedroom and we had the upstairs loft. Beds were very comfortable, water pressure was great. Perfect location for walking around Old Port. Only 2 issues, one of which is temporary. First, areas of the building (which has the restaurant Modavie on the ground floor) were under construction so the central staircase was quite dusty and dirty. Obviously this is temporary, but it wasn't a great impression and you always felt a little dirty upon leaving the loft. The second issue was that there is an HVAC unit that sits near the loft on the roof so there is a constant and loud hum/throbbing from until 2am, when it shuts off. It then resumes at 6am in the morning. Its not terrible, but if noise bothers you, I would request to stay in a different loft. I believe the HVAC unit is for the resaurant downstairs since it was not effected by the thermostat in our room, so you can't control it. Otherwise, a great place to stay in Old Port for larger groups or 2 couples.

"Heart of Old Montreal"
Fantastic hotel and staff. Just a couple of blocks from the Metro. Right next to restaurants and stores of Old Montreal and short walk to the port. Staff are super friendly. Restaurant in the hotel is great for charcuterie. The building is old and historic yet modern touches. Room was comfortable and I had a great time in Montreal.
