Broken Pipes and Broken Servicea

Posted Oct 19, 2014 on Hotels
Walked in to get my reserved room, right away I smelled a strange oder. After ringing the bell on the front desk I waited easily 5-6 min before anyone came out. After giving her my information, I was told that my reserved reservation was cancelled due to broken pipes! It was 10 pm and all the local hotels were booked (Columbus Day weekend). All the recrptionist did was her telling me they won't charge me. Hello could a phone call to me be done before I came? It was late now and had no where to stay! Thank you Hotels.com without your hard work locating me a vey nice place my wife and I might have slept in our car.

Decent hotel in a very nice town.

Cons: The hotel front desk needs someone who knows how to employ pleasantries with her customer service, instead of hostility.
The hotel itself was as expected, no frills, but very clean and comfortable. We were on a business trip and rented five rooms for two nights. The woman at the front desk, however, could hardly speak English and was quite rude, which is a shame as I might have stayed there again if not for her. Our rooms were booked through Expedia on my wife's credit card. When I checked in, we actually paid for them on my credit card, both of which are for the same company and I am the owner. This was unacceptable to her. She spoke with my secretary, we had confirmation numbers, nothing made her happy until she realized she needed to accept the card or lose 5 rooms.

Just the very basics

Very basic, but clean. Didn't have coffee ready either morning. Extra towels were still in the dryer, not ready. Be sure to bring your own shampoo etc.

Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis

Wir reisten mit dem Zug, Motel liegt ca. 5min zu Fuss vom Bahnhof entfernt, also ideal. Das Motel war für den Preis in Ordnung, gute Lage und freundliches Personal.

ok for the price

Service was almost non-existant. Room was clean but had stains on the carpet. Maid service did not make up the bed or empty trash the 4 days we were there. We requested a fridge but it wasn't delivered until the next day after a third request. Dumpster was over-flowing with trash on the ground. Tiles on the walkway were cracked and loose. Toilet leaked. Police had to respond to a domestic incident involving long term guests.TV had a snowy picture, could not get motel manager to fix. It was an old analog set with digital box and no converter.

Comparing to the price, the room condition is disappointing.

poor front desk coverage

Posted Jun 27, 2014 on Hotels
Overall the stay was fine, however there was no one manning the front desk. I had to call someone in to check in and I tried ringing for service several times to check out but on one showed up. I ended up leaving a note and my key on the desk.

Bizarre and worst motel stay ever.

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Nothing except the cheap price but even that was not worth it.
Cons: Someone being on duty to help the guests and clean the room.
First night okay. Next morning could not find desk person to ask questions. Later in the evening returned from family event and could not get into room. Card key would not work. Office was dark and no person to help. Knocked on doors, rang buzzer, tried to call hotel. No response. Other guests were helpful and finally called for help from police who got someone out of bed to come and open our room. My husband is disabled and we had to sit in our car for two hours while we and other guests tried different ways to get into our room and to get help. When we finally got into our room the beds had not been made and we had no clean towels. The next morning I went to the office for towels and again no one was there. This was the worst experience of a hotel in my life.
