I stayed at the hotel by myself for 2 days when visiting Bogota for the first time. All major tourist attractions are close by. The hotel itself is one of them with its historic setting and authentic decorations. Staff was very friendly but spoke little English. I had trouble with the electronic key to the room, and they send the concierge up with me to demonstrate the intricate maneuvers to open the door correctly second time around. They only seemed slightly annoyed with idiot-me.
Room 301 was noisy due to the proximity of the restaurant, starting at 6:30 or do. - I had booked breakfast and they didn't inform me. So I never went despite having paid for it. - However, the setting is so pretty. So, ovrrall, one of a kind place and an enriching experience for the traveler willing to adjust to being brow-beaten by staff for not knowing how to use their decrepit electronic keys etc.
