Excellent stayPosted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: The triple room was spacious and clean.
Location: Tatiana met us at the train station and we walked from the train station to the hotel, about a 10 minutes walk.
We spent one night in Casa de Mama on October 25, 2013. The hotel is clean, the breakfast was really good, it had yogurt, scrambled eggs, fruit, bread etc. The night we arrived Tatiana, the lady at the counter, accompanied us to a restaurant (I think is called The Papas) that was just about to close and they reopened the whole restaurant just for the three of us. One of the best dinner we had in Peru.

Located adjacent to the central Plaza. Perfect for one night. Priced low. Basic rooms. Not a great breakfast.

A curious little hotel but great valuePosted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: It had a very clean room, a passable breakfast included and it's actually pretty well located in respect to the stuff you want to see in this town.
Cons: Hot water took a long time to come out and their credit card machine didn't work. Not good in a town with two broken cash machines!
Location: Central to the ruins and the old town, good restaurants are within a couple hundred yards and the town square is a little further.
Finding this place was a little bit of a challenge but it was relatively pleasing once we arrived. It felt more like a hostel environment but was a nice low budget hotel.

The hotel was excellent, but the hot water was lacking. One day there was a little hot water, but the next day none. The young lady at the desk was very helpful and could speak English a bit. The location is great- just off of the Plaza de Armas, between there and the train station.

Good location in the middle of town and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast and the rooms were functional. The rooms were clean and got pretty cold at night but there was plenty of bedding to keep us warm. Would stay here again for the price..

Friendly, helpful, lovelyPosted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. We loved the location of the hotel, close to the main square. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard where we sat and enjoyed the midday sun while sipping coca tea; and a lovely cafe area with a fireplace where we enjoyed lovely meals and wine. We did not realize that many hotels in the area do not have heat, and this was one of them. They do provide thick blankets that offer plenty of warmth for sleeping, but the rooms get pretty cold at night. Everything else was so nice that we were still happy with the hotel.

Beautiful Hotel, the approach is misleading but once you open the front door it is amazing.

Acceptable for a cheap hotel in OllantaPosted May 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The big drawback was that the internet did not work in our room (we heard similar stories from other hotel guests). Breakfast was better than I've had at most Peru B&Bs. The location was convenient and easy to find. The room had a nice view, although the shower was barely usable.
