"Lovely hotel, very central"
Great stay in a lovely hotel with interesting modern decor. Room was small but adequate and the huge shower and well thought out bathroom were great.

"Deserving No.1 Hotel in Florence"
Friendly and knowledgeable Staff; Free Mini-bar (2 soft drinks, Beer, still/sparkling water, chips); Free self-printing services at lobby; Happy hour with finger food and drinks from 6-8pm. Hotel is bit far from main tourist attractions. It takes around 30mins by foot but there are bus-stops just outside the hotel that brings you to Train station and city centre. Conversely, being slightly off the main tourist belt ensures the area is quiet and peaceful at night. There are couple good local family-run restaurants in the hotel vicinity which the hotel recommended. Overall, a tinge of modern yet laid back and cosy hotel with excellent service.

"An exceptional hotel and wonderful Christmas stay!"
Just returned from 5 nights at the outstanding Grand Hotel Villa Cora - surely the jewel of Florentine hotels. Not only is it beautifully maintained and comfortable with gorgeous grounds, fantastic furnishings, linens changed daily and brilliant bathrooms (we had two in our duplex suite), the staff treated us all as old friends of the hotel, valued guests and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Breakfast was fabulous - whether the delicious continental selection, cooked breakfast, pancakes or a shake or smoothie. In the evenings there was a fabulous band playing in the bar downstairs, perfect end to a day in Florence. Thank you to the wonderful General and Restaurant Managers and the whole staff for making our family's stay so memorable, we very much hope to return!

"A Beautiful Palazzo"
The Palazzo is beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly. I've stayed in quite a few 5* hotels with my work and this is not typical. Most of those that I have stayed in have a sanitised clinical feel to them. Polite staff but not those that will engage with you. As I found out whilst staying there, Palazzo Magnani Feroni was a family residence until just after the turn of the millennium. It still has that sort of feel about it: The rooms are individual and unique and there is cosy and warm sense that you are staying more in somebody's abundant home rather than a 5* hotel. The staff are very polite and respectful but give them half a chance and they will engage with you in the most friendly and accommodating way; happy to give suggestions about typical Florentine cocktails, drinks and food, where to visit and for me, help with my faltering Italian. We loved this place and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else when we return to Florence/Firenze.

"Very Private, quiet retreat close to Florence"
Overall a very nice, comfortable and quiet hotel. Like everyone else has commented, it is outside of walking distance to the city, unless hiking is your thing. The property has been a hotel for about 1 1/2 years. The oldest parts date back to the 13th and 14th centuries and probably was part of a watch tower system around Firenze. Later it became a convent. The attentiveness of the staff, quality of the facilities, and solitude of the location, will likely establish Villa Tolemei as a sought after more exclusive hotel for visitors to the Florence area.

"Beautiful hotel with lovely gardens"
I was very impressed with my first impression of this hotel, it is set off a main road with a long driveway leading to the hotel, the hotel is set amongst its own gardens. It almost felt like we weren't in the city. The hotel was well presented and very clean, we were very pleased with our room which was on the top floor, very large bed and all the other facilities you would expect for a nice hotel. The only disadvantage to this hotel is it is a walk into town, but that didn't bother us and we walked it every day. It took us 15 mins to get to the centre from the hotel, little bit longer on the way back as the hotel was on a hill. However those who don't fancy walking buses pass the Main Street just outside the hotel very regularly and cost less than 2 euros. Despite this I don't think we would have had a nicer hotel in the centre, especially for the cost.

"Wonderful hotel in a great location"
We had a fantastic stay at Ponte Vecchio Suites. The suite was lovely, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen well-enough equipped to cook a few easy dinners when we didn't want to go out. The location was perfect, with only a short walk to the Uffizi, and so many excellent restaurants around that were ideal for families. Even though the hotel was close to everything, our room was very quiet. And the staff were all lovely! So helpful and welcoming, assisting us with tickets to galleries and helping us with our connection back to Pisa. We can't wait to go back.
