"Great Hotel!"
Hotel was very very nice and in a great location, right over the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. It was close to the airport and near everything, even a supermarket. The hotel had a sitting area on the second floor where we sat one night with our own wine and snacks and looked out onto the street. The employees were very polite and called our next hotel to confirm. The breakfast every morning was exactly the same but there were enough items to that you could have choices. It was really a lovely hotel and I would definitely stay there again!

"Beautiful hotel"
The hotel is beautiful and full of character. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a card in our suite every evening telling us the weather for the next day. The breakfast spread was varied and delicious. They will also prepare other things, such as omelets, upon request. There is a rooftop terrace which has beautiful views of the city. Everything was wonderful. Well worth the money. I would definitely choose Palazzo Magnani Feroni for my stay again.

"Very Private, quiet retreat close to Florence"
Overall a very nice, comfortable and quiet hotel. Like everyone else has commented, it is outside of walking distance to the city, unless hiking is your thing. The property has been a hotel for about 1 1/2 years. The oldest parts date back to the 13th and 14th centuries and probably was part of a watch tower system around Firenze. Later it became a convent. The attentiveness of the staff, quality of the facilities, and solitude of the location, will likely establish Villa Tolemei as a sought after more exclusive hotel for visitors to the Florence area.

"View was amazing!"
A top floor flat with terrace, with an amazing view ! With in one min walk of Ponte Vecchio. And five min walk to Palazzo Vecchio . The parking garage was just out side the door. The gal that let us into the flat was so very nice and she waited in the garage for us. We really only slept there but it had a kitchen a pull out sofa and a bedroom. The sitting sofa needed a little replacing but the flat was in a fabulous spot and I would rent it again!

The hotel is magnificent. Beautiful grounds, super room. It felt like we were guests in a palace. Best of all the service was supreme. Everyone we encountered could not have been more eager to be of help--the entire staff made us feel very special.

"Family run Hotel. Reception staff very helpful."
We spent a week at this hotel in Florence, which was very pleasant and away from the crowds. Comfortable walking shoes are required for the cobbled streets. Maybe a week's stay just in Florence would be to much, it's so easy to get to the railway station by local bus for 1.20 euros one way ticket. The number 23, A or B bus, stops across the road by the bridge from the hotel and is about a 15/20 minutes journey, different routes to the station. Bus tickets brought from the Tabac shop nearby to the hotel. NO tickets sold on buses. Validate your ticket in the machine on the bus. You can buy bus tickets from the kiosk outside the railway station. Take trains that go to Pisa about an hour away, and if you want a return train to Venice about 2 hours 30 minutes away, well worth the visit. The hotel reception staff will help you book your train fares or give you travel times. If you decide to buy your tickets inside the station you will need to take a ticket for the queue by the booking office. Taxis from the railway station back to the hotel cost around 10 euros, more if you have suitcases with you. There are other tours you can arrange at the hotel's reception desk. Plenty of museums, art galleries and buildings of interest in the old town of Florence.

"Nothing bad to say"
Had an amazing time in florence and soprarno suites was a big part of the reason why. We loved the size of our room, high ceiling and with a big bathroom too. You will also love the decor. Quirky and with character is how I'd define it. Breakfast was nice and cozy. Price was very reasonable for the hotel. Lastly the location was great, it was very near to go to the main sites by walking but quiet because we weren't in the most touristy area. We got surprised by the number of great places to eat near the hotel as well. we would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!

The name literally means beyond the Arno, the river that runs through Florence. On this side of the city, Piazzale Michelangelo provides a postcard-perfect view of Florence and the hills beyond. Palazzo Pitti has a rich history, and today houses a large number of museums and art galleries. The eclectic mix of Florentines living in Oltrarno make it a must-see for anyone seeking an authentic Florence experience.
