The hotel is beautiful, i love the architectural design modern meets vintage fused together to form a beautiful structure. I love how each room door tells a story with a piece of skillfully artistic painting of somone is history. Also, the designs of the bar area and the meshed tiles used all over the interior of the building. The only thing is, the shower needs a whole lot of scrubing with bleach and powered soap to get out all the build up scum thats obviously been ignored for a long time now, its brown. The hotel is a little walk from everything but, there are little shops and restaurant along the road and it was very easy to get taxi from the hotel airport unlike other hotels. Overall, its a very comfortable stay and the room is really nice with all the lights integrated into one touch panel sitting on the bedside table which, is so adorable because the accent wall is magenta and has little fairy lights integrated into each square making it a very beautiful sights when all the other lights are off. It's a beautiful room. The drink cocktail mix from the bar was very nice because I just ordered and they made up a wonderful mixture that I didnt want to finish. Over all 4****

Our stay in Florence was quite nice and the property was very accommodating. While it states it was located near the city centre, it was not. It was 20 minutes to 30 minutes to walk to the Duomo and other sites. Cabs were expensive and the buses were confusing. The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable in a somewhat hip part of town.

If you want elegance, glamour, beauty, and stunning, this is the property to stay with. The General Manager at the main hotel, UNA Hotels, was remarkable to deal with. We arrived from Rome, and were offered water and a lovely coffee while we sat outside in the patio area. We were then transported to the apartments, part of the hotel, in the centre of it all. Glorious, clean, and reminded me of being a movie star.

This could be such a good hotel if only they maintained and upgraded it. Everything is very dated, tattered and it needs major upgrade work. Our initial room was terrible with broken taps and handrail, dirty carpet and peeling paint on ceilings. We complained but the initial response from the man at reception was all excuses, and no other rooms available. A more assertive complaint at the counter then resulted in them finding another room. Surprise!! Other staff then attempted make up for the initial issues but averall, a very poor experience for a hotel charging €300 a night.

More like 2.5 Star Hotel
We weren't sure what we were going to get because the property photos seemed inconsistent. Checked in and the property/lobby seemed nice; front desk staff was friendly. Made it up to the room and the story begins to change. Immediately we are greeted by faded carpets and an extremely dark room. Felt straight out of the 1980s. All of the bathroom fixtures were black, floor was tile but had some tiles missing that was just filled in with mortar. There was only a deep tub that was about 3 feet tall with no easy way to get in and out of with no shower curtain. There was a shower head sticking out of the wall that sprayed everywhere, so when you were done you had to step out of an extremely deep tub on to a wet surface, I slipped and fell the first time. On to the bedroom, it was a strange layout, but actually was a descent size room for a European hotel. Bed was very low to the ground. I'd give the mattress a 3/5 for comfort. All in all, my opinion given the state of the room is this is more like a 2.5 star hotel. I was upset of the condition given advertising as 4 star and the price we paid.

Unique was UNARoma. UNAFirenze was unacceptable as a UNA HOTEL Group property. This place was completely disgusting! Carpets in the room were nasty, the shower ceiling was peeling, everything was BLACK. Now I understand what they were trying to hide. This hotel should be completely renovated to be modern like UNA brand. Completely disappointed to say the least.

Interesting Arty hotel.
Arty, interesting hotel. A little bit weatherworn, but the ambience was great, and the staff was very friendly. It is tucked in nicely back from the road so both inside and out are very peaceful. I would certainly stay there again.

The location was good. Great bars and restaurants in the local area and only 15 minute walk from the main tourist sites. The hotel staff gave great advice and were helpful. Easy bus route to Firenze SMN station, or €7 taxi ride.

Dishonest management and dingy amenities!
The worst hotel experience I have had in my life, and I am well traveled. Book with serious caution! Their facilities are nothing to write home about. I had allergies from dust in the room and the bathroom in one of our rooms had an odor. The place looks dingy. I highly advise against staying here, untop of this the management and staff are dihonest!! This hotel confirmed that I would not be charged an extra night for a modified booking, yet charged me full price during my check out for an additional night that I didn’t use. They then proceeded to lie to me, that they had issued me a refund via Expedia/hotels.com. I contacted hotels.com who confirmed no refund was issued, they in turn contacted the hotel who then said they wouldn’t issue me a refund for an additional hotel night that I did not use. To make matters worse, I have receipts that show the one night I was charged and paid for upon check in. I sent all these receipts and a detailed email to the hotel to amicable resolve this fraudulent charge, till now they have refused to respond and are instead telling hotels.com that they won’t refund me. They are deceitful, they even lied to the hotels.com agent that contacted them that their manager was away for the weekend when I had just seen him that morning.

This hotel really needs to be better taken care of the design is old, the bath rooms do not work - forget about taking a shower - plus it is run down. The lighting makes noise so you can’t sleep. For the price of the hotel which is not even a central location they could really do more to keep the rooms at least modern or minimum not have the times falling off. It is a shame people still pay for such quality.

Not what it used to be
We arrived and were told our room was ready. The head guy was a bit pushy and demanding my credit card while the woman was checking me in. We were given our key. The room had a red sign on it saying under construction. We entered and it was. Tools all over lights laying on bed. I told the main guy and he didn’t believe me. So I had to show him. We were instructed to wait in hallway. Not in the restaurant or bar. We waited he came back and took us to another room. Five minutes later the ceiling panel fell down. I took a picture showed it to him and he acted indignant but sent someone to fix it. The restaurant food was excellent. The bartender was perfect. On one night we had a late dinner and when we were finished wanted a taxi. I asked him if he would please call a cab. It was 11pm. And he scrunched up his face and said “now?” I said I don’t want it tomorrow. I need it now. He then told us to wait outside. The hotel itself needs a good updating. The rooms need painting. The missing tiles in shower need replacing. Overall a disappointment. I stayed here in 2019 and loved it.

The decor is really awful, it’s like a 1984 music video vomited this hotel. The rooms are really in need of a refresh and have poor sound insulation. BTW the restaurant is closed on Sundays and the snack options are very limited. It’s also pretty far from the historical center. Only upside is that the staff is very nice

Strange place. Sort of trying to be an art hotel. Black hallways, strange twisty furniture. Which is ok with me but my 350 dollar room was quite worn. Desperaty needs new carpet. My balcony was.totally enclosed...so no view of anything. Nice quiet location and good breakfast. IMHO not a 4 star hotel or even close.

The hotel does not feel like 4 stars compared to others we have been to: Had to ask for the wifi code which is normally given automatically, no water bottle opener in the room, no coffee or tea in the room, safe was not working, charge for parking although they have ample space and this is the first thing we were told when we arrived. We waited until the end of the breakfast for the cappuccino to arrive etc. Management needs a wake up call there!

Dear Guest,We regret for your report.Unfortunately, due to the higher temperature than the seasonal average and the presence of the river Arno, we registered many mosquitos this winter. Immediately, we act with sprays to try to reduce the discomfort.Our staff is always at disposal of all our guests during the stay in case of report. There is no kettle in the room but we can provide it on request. Otherwise we have a bar open until late in the evening.The cost of parking is communicated at the time of check-in and allows to leave your car in complete safety and always have it available. The rate is in line with the prices charged by other hotels and private car parkings in this area of Florence.We’re sorry for the wait at breakfast and for not having made you perceive the quality normally appreciated by our guests. Complicated hotel
Check in was chaotic. Hotel had precharged stay without approval. Receptionist was alone and extremely busy. Check in process extremely complicated and took almost 40 minutes! Rooms where either funny or very strange looking. Beds and toilet was okay.
