Pleasant stay
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: The location.
Cons: The beds were ok but it would have been nice if they had memory pillowtops.
Location: It's close to Olympia and the best Thai Food I ever had, I believe it's called the Lemon Grass. We were about 45 mins away from Lake Cushman.
I had a good experience. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accomodating.

Large, clean room, with above average breakfast
Posted Jan 9, 2013
Pros: The breakfast, the clean room, large bathroom, workout room, and pool.
Location: Perfect if you are in town for state business or a family traveling through.
We stayed here for 1 night on a Friday night. The room was large, spotless, and the bathroom was spacious. The king size bed was a little on the hard side, but I still slept throughout the night. The service at the desk was polite and efficient. The breakfast in the morning was actually impressive for the small space it encompassed. I think I have found my new hotel to stay at while in Tumwater.

Location hidden away

Cons: location
Location: impossible to find
Very difficult to find. The street ( 74 th st) was impossible to find. The hotel was buried in behind tall trees- with no identifying signage on the way into the site. I had to ask a person at a gas station half a mile away. This simple fact needs to be corrected.

Rooms needs to be updated and water pressure issue

Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Location: Capital was great! Love it!
If I was rating your hotel strictly based on your hotel staff and cleanliness of the room I would rate it a 5. However the rooms are in dire need of renovation. A few items that would need to be address are the caulking in the bathroom needs to be redone. There should be no mold in bathrooms. The water pressures to the units are horrible. I tried to take a shower and had little not no pressure. Sink water pressure was the same all the time. There was hardly any water to wash your hands. Shower curtains should have plastic ones instead of cloth only due to sanitation reasons. There really needs to be an exhaust fan in the bathrooms. Showering without one makes it very humid especially living in the northwest. Carpet and comforters really needs to be updated. Comforters were torn and not appealing to the eye. Breakfast was great. Staff needs to have help. Running a front office and answering the phone and trying to maintain breakfast for a busy tournament weekend is unacceptable. Management needs to learn how to staff accordingly to help their own people. I've been in the industry for over 20years and Ebony did an exceptional job. She kept a smile on her guests faces even though she had to multi task. So Coddles to Ebony! Great Work! I would definitely stay again due to her great customer service..

This was a very nice hotel. A little out dated, could use new beds and updated tv's. Other than that, everything was excellent. WIFI worked really well, and the kitchenett's were very nice, had dish's and everything.

Tumwater Guesthouse
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: Just off the i5. Good wifi
Cons: There is nowhere within walking distance to eat or drink, and a car is essential
Location: Nicely secluded in woods, generous parking
There was an overbooking problem when I arrived, not sure whose responsibility that was, but the staff did everything to put it right. It's a pretty average hotel, but it's conveniently placed and easy to find. The lack of local amenities is a problem.
