Very clean. Room is very big and quiet. Breakfast costs money, and not so good.

red lion OlympiaPosted Aug 24, 2014
We had to switch rooms for our 2nd night - 1st room had mold on shower curtain, wall and the room smelled musty - upon moving - 2nd room was thoroughly clean.

Pros: the location of the hotel was very accessable to the major highways...the grounds were well kept.
Cons: as I previously mentioned, the lounge/bar being open past 10pm would have been much appreciated. One of the reasons I picked this hotel was for bar
except for a bit of a problem checking-in...my name on my driver's license is a bit different than what I initially gave the check in clerk.... our entire stay was quite satisfactory....ok.... It would have been nice if the bar was open a bit later, so we could have a night-cap....but...

BeautifulPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The view was delightful, couldn't have asked for more. It is very dog friendly, so if you are traveling with your four legged pals it is a must.
Location: We found this a great location to tour the Olympic peninsula, and mt rainier.
We were highly delighted with the Red Lion Hotel, Olympia. The pictures don't do it justice, it is a little hard to find though. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous view of the pool and the lake from our room. Great restaurant and bar, plenty of parking.

Great place to stay for a zombie run!Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Very clean; very nice staff; buffet breakfast for $7.95 was a great deal
Cons: The soundproofing could be improved. We could hear adults and children alike yelling in the morning.
We travelled to Olympia from Victoria, BC to participate in the 5K Zombie Run. This hotel exceeded our expectations as it was very central, very clean, and very reasonable. We were disappointed that the restaurant/lounge was closed when we got back to the hotel at 10:30 p.m. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!
