Stunning Lake Views (blocked by cars)
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Pros: Stunning lake views. Delicious supple salmon at restaurant across the street. Convenient store on site. Close to all the rainforest sites.
Cons: Cars parked in front of the first level rooms puts a damper on the stunning lake views.
Location: Check out Quinault Lodge where rainforest walks run on weekends. The ranger station down the street is a great source of information.
Spacious room, very clean. The soap bars smell sweet. It was fun to be able to walk across the street for a fabulous dinner. I had the salmon and it was so supple and delicious. The salad bar is basic, but fresh. This was a great base to explore the rainforest trails and to continue on up the coast from. My only complaint is that anybody can park in front of your room blocking your picture window of the lake. Maybe they could mark assigned parking so that anybody can't park in front of your room, make it loading zone only, or prohibit parking there all together. There's plenty of parking in the back and the rooms have front and back doors.

Outdated cabin in the woods?
Posted Jan 10, 2012
Pros: Location to rain forest adventures. Fantastic salmon at Salmon House across the street.
Cons: Musty smell and outdated decor and fixtures.
Location: Loved the lake and walking, hiking and driving in the rain forest.
Location was perfect, great views, close to lake and rain forest. Room felt like visiting an older cabin, quite dated, including some outlets, light switches, etc. Walls were all wood paneling, which may have created some of the musty odor problem. Could use some updating, considering the price.

A decent spot on the lake.
Posted Jan 26, 2012
Pros: THe service at the desk
Cons: Nothing to report
Location: The lake is magical in the morning and the setting of the motel make the most of it.
If you don't expect too much in the outback you will be pleasantly surprised. We were in the motel (a short distance from the reception) and consequently the wifi link was weak but this was the only thing that inconvenienced us and the service was excellent. We slept really well and the view of the lake in the morning was memorable. Would happily recommend this to any friend.

An excellent motel in a beautiful situation
Posted Jan 23, 2012
Pros: The quality of the rooms
This hotel is less well known than the historic Lake Quinault hotel a mile down the road and probably a little less fancy, but the rooms in this motel style hotel are superb especially those with a lake view. The lake is maybe 80 yards from the motel and there is an unimpeded view. There is a general store and an excellent restaurant which serves the best salmon that we have ever tasted. Trails into the rain forest are just a few yards away. The rooms were very well appointed and I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Good value. lovely setting.

Pros: Setting.
Cons: Tired furnishings.
Location: Quiet, with lovely lake views.
Older property, but good value. Lovely setting overlooking Lake Quinalt, and a very cost effective alternative to pricier options.

I would stay here again. Close to local trials and loved the largest tree.

Very disappointing
Posted Jan 17, 2012
Pros: Nothing
Cons: having to stay there
No facilities in the room even the coffee maker had parts missing. Only called a suite because there were two rooms. Dark and dingy. Only ice machine in shop but this didn't open till 9am so no early start. Service in the restaurant was the worst we have experienced in the USA though the food was good. After dinner you could take a strole to see the decaying old cabins left to collapse.

Great location but disappointing accommodation!
Posted Jan 13, 2012
Very disappointing consider how much it costs. The hotel is very basic and dated. The room smell musty and needs to be air-out daily. The only redeeming value is the beautiful view of the lake and the peaceful setting. The restaurant, Salmon House, has great view and good quality food.

Lovely stay at lakeside cabin
Posted Jan 2, 2012
Pros: Location - right beside the lake.
Cons: Decor is in need of updating
Location: Perfect!
An excellent visit in a lovely cabin situated overlooking Lake Quinault. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, both in the resort and in the restaurant. The cabin was excellent, with a very comfortable bed, a cosy gas fire and a very relaxing spa bath! There is a lovely short walk through the rain forest just behind the resort.
