Great view!

Posted Jun 29, 2015
We had an awesome stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the morning breakfast buffet. The eggs were dry and cold scrambled. The sausage & bacon were very cold. The only thing warm was my coffee. Although, I would recommend the stay in the room; I would stay clear of the food - cold & not flavorful. The amenities were good and excellent TV viewing. Other than having a one night stay, I would rate the overall stay at a 3.2.

Lovely view on the water side

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Easy walk to the Victoria ferry - close to restaurant & park for grandchildren
Cons: The chairs on the patio could be more comfortable & maybe a little table for drinks
Location: Their is a lovely pier & walking coarse right outside the door by the water
Delightful - staff friendly - restaurant/bar attached to hotel

Pay the extra for a waterfront room.

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Waterfront with accessible patio.
Cons: Hot water heater needs update. Our showers were not hot.
Location: Whale watching, Olympic National Park daytrips.
We started in a non-waterfront room for a 5 night stay. That lasted one night. We moved to waterfront next night and remaining nights...it was absolutely wonderful. We had perfect weather for our stay, which probably contributed to the open patio experience.

No air conditioning!

Posted Jun 24, 2015
While the location was beautiful, we could not get maintenance to fix our air conditioner, which only blew air on fan, not cold air. Since we were on the first floor we did not want to leave the sliding window open at night. Maintenance tried 3 times to fix it, and the front desk staff said they checked it after the 3rd time, but it still didn't work. Since we booked on Expedia they would not compensate us.

Perfect view of Fuca. Close enough to walk to a couple of good restaurants.

bad experience

Posted Jun 17, 2015
On our way to the hotel I called to see when the restaurant closes and they told me 9:30 pm. We arrived at 9:00 pm and the hostes wouldn't seat us. We asked if we can order to go and she said "Yes" but didn't provide us a menu. A waitress gave us menus and then asked if we wanted to be seated. we where seated and had our late dinner. We checked into our hotel and when we got to our room the key cards didn't work. We had to return to the lobby to activate our cards again. We booked our room for five people, 2 queen beds and a roll away. But when we got to our room they had only ONE bath towel and no roll away. So we had to call the front desk for things they should have already prepared.

Pleasant environment with good accommodations.

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Comfort and quiet
Cons: The restaurant food was terrible - probably the worst I've had in ages.
Location: Was only there for the night
Uneventful stay - very quiet even with a lot of other parties staying there.

Hotel on the waterfront

Posted Jun 13, 2015
We chose this hotel because of its location on the waterfront and even put in a request for waterfront rooms. On arrival the receptionist sang "welcome to the Red Lion hotel" which was bizarre. We were then given rooms at the back building and hence did not have a view. The soundproofing was abysmal and we were woken at 0530 by the family above us who stomped around until their departure at 0700. However, the location was good for restaurants.
