I'd recommend this hotel for lack of less expensive options in the area. It is a practical facility serving people who are passing through to Olympic Park or Peninsula or on the way to Victoria by ferry. It's clean, unpretentious, well-organized. After paying $15 for my small dog, and a breakfast that didn't suit my purposes (grab a coffee and muffin and dash) I may look at other options next time.

Thanks for staying with us. As you mentioned, our hotel is the best value franchise hotel in the area. I'd like to comment though that your memory of our hotel may be another hotel you are thinking of as the items in our breakfast don't match what you mentioned. We don't provide muffins for example and never have. Our breakfast serves make your hot waffles, fresh bananas, oatmeal, Cinnamon rolls, bread, two kinds of cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs and more.

Decent basic hotel

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff. Pets allowed.
Cons: Breakfast coffee.
The hotel was nothing special. A decently clean comfortable room that was fine for a night. The front desk staff was really helpful and friendly. The coffee in the breakfast room was awful -- so weak I couldn't drink it and I don't care for particularly strong stuff. I didn't try the food so cannot comment on that. Also the night I was there there was a large group departing early in the morning. Not sure if this was related but there was loud banging in my hallway very early.

HI traveler. I'm sorry to hear about the in-room coffee. I'll look into the quality of our in-room coffee and see if it wasn't a weak batch or something else. Ultimately, I'll make a change if I get the same opinion form several other guests. Really appreciate the comment.

Convenient place for catching the Ferry

Posted Sep 21, 2014
We stayed here the night before catching the ferry to Victoria and decided to come back a few nights later when we got back. It is nothing flash but is clean and tidy and all that you would expect for this price point.

Convenient stop

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Convenient to highway.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Nice resteraunt called Kokopelli downtown.
We met friends here as we were both travelling around the Olympic peninsula in opposite directions. It was comfortable and offered a decent breakfast.

Fairly close to the ferry.

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The staff and the breakfast.
Location: Close to ferry and downtown area.
Staff very helpful with restaurants etc. Room was adequate....nothing fancy but fine. Only needed a room for a night to get to the ferry the next morning. Complimentary breakfast was good.

Location: The location was great. That is why we chose it.
It met our needs. The food didn't met the needs of diabetics..

A home away from home

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Healthy and tasty breakfast, microwave, fridge, and convenient back door for loading things into room.
Cons: The fridge was set too low and froze some of our fruits.
Location: Fabulous and varied hiking in Olympic National Park Can take ferry to Victoria and back on same day (walk on)
We stayed here for 4 nights while hiking in the nearby Olympic National Park. This hotel was just perfect and at a reasonable price. We had a fridge and microwave so ate most of our meals in our room The breakfast at the hotel had a pitcher of real creamo so could use in both coffee and to top up the milk on our cereal. They had good cereal - raisin brain instead of the usual fruit loops or such, and a wide selection of yoplait yogurt - both diet and regular, waffles, and fresh bananas plus bread and sweet buns and excellent coffee. Really excellent value and right next to a national park. Will be back.

Urin smell in room

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Staff fine but room tiny, furniture dated and dingy. Room smelled of urin and bathtub faucet leaked. Dogs running around in hotel without apparent owner with one in the eating area. We have travelled across the country. Stayed in many places and would never stay here again not recommend it to anyone.

Dave, I recall talking with you a bit the night you arrived. It was good meeting you. I didn't recall you mentioning anything when we talked later in the evening after you had been in the hotel for 1/2 the day. I would have looked into your concerns immediately. We don't allow dogs to roam free around the hotel, but that evening, a dog had escaped their room and found itself in the breakfast area and you were hanging out there using the lobby computer. As you may recall, I stayed with the dog until the owner came as several guests worked with me to try and help find the owner.

The best I can say is "adequate"!

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Location: You need a vehicle to get anywhere close to main business district of Pt Angelese. It's not central to much of anything
I didn't expect 4-star accomodation in booking a Super 8. However for $150 per night I did expect something more than we got. The room had the appearance of never having been upgraded in the past 20 years... dull, boring and completely lacking in any appeal whatsoever, along with being very small! About the only thing I can say in favor of it, was that it appeared clean. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

Hi traveler. You arrived in our town during the high seasonal rate time. Neighboring hotels closer to town would have been $240 per night with no air conditioning. We are the highest ratest value franchise in the Peninsula because we provide solid clean facilities. I'm surprised traveler that you didn't notice the brand new bed, new pillows (of which there were 4 per bed), fresh fluffy towels, new curtains and modern appliances such as a microwave and fridge in your room.

We were in the midst of the summer high season when you arrived. Our prices are highly competitive for the time as you'll find upper tier hotels at $50-150 more than our rates. We provide an amazing value for the guests who don't want to pay those rates. As shown by our ranking as the highest ratest economy franchise hotel in Port Angeles, we have been able to consistently provide that value.
