Pros: Cleanliness, staff helpfulness, and comfortable beds
Cons: Get the train to stop honking it's horn so long!
Our stay at The White House Motel was very nice. The breakfast was great and Kang was very helpful in making sure we were fed well. The beds were great and the room was very clean. The bathroom is a little small but the hotel had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The hotel does sit near a train track and the honking of the train throughout the day and night is somewhat disconcerting but other than that our stay was very good.

nice hotel

Pros: The area was close to to allot of restaurants and downtown area.
Cons: Bathroom could be bigger
The hotel was ok ,staff very good. The room was clean , tv could have been bigger.

Poor service

Room not cleaned each day. Maids and staff had to be asked each day for clean towels .

Horrible experience

I would never stay at this hotel again. I'm not sure I would even take a chance and stay at another Best Western. I had to repeatedly ask to have the room cleaned. No one had come in to take out the trash, make the beds or clean the bathroom. There was salt on the floor because of the snow. The staff never even vacuumed the hallways. When I approached the staff, they were unhelpful and constantly asked if we had put the "Do not disturb" sign up. (We never did). The only thing that was decent was the breakfast and the woman in charge was trying to get everyone to leave at 8:30 even though it was supposed to be open until 9:00 a.m. The manager/owner would not speak to me. Just a horrible place.

Tv didn't work , room was never re freshened during our entire stay,I would recommend best western to any friends of mine, also when ever I went to the desk there was never anyone there.

Good hotel but location near train tracks negative

Pros: Rooms, bathroom, cleanliness, comfort
Hotel is very clean, staff was great, room was clean and what I expected. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are clean. Only negative are the train tracks across the street. train goes by hotel every couple of hours and blows its horn.

great bed

I was in town for a training. This hotel was close. The hotel had a nice work out space. My room had a good table to work on and a fridge and microwave. The was also a lot of surface space for my bags.

Nice hotel, close to the zoo

Cons: The heating in the breakfast room - it was stifling hot for us.
We found the staff to be very friendly. The condition of the hotel and our room was very good and clean. We struggled with the hotel being too warm but I think that's really about us as we like lower temperatures. This hotel doesn't have lifts to the second floor but that wasn't of concern for us. I'm sure they'd put those unable to manage stairs on the ground floor anyway. Our room was very comfortable with a dining table and chairs, microwave, coffee machine and fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast room was well stocked with the usual breakfast foods and you can eat all you want. Overall we found the hotel to meet our needs and would highly recommend it for comfort, cleanliness and convenient access to the zoo.
