First of all, they sent me to the seventh floor to a room that didn't exist. So, I had to go back down to the desk (with all my luggage) to get assigned another room. Second, the room was okay, but could really use some refurbishing. Third, the restaurant had very limited hours. I think they closed at 2:00 PM. The only other place to eat in the hotel was at the very noisy bar.

Hotel Furniture

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Very close to the center of down town. The shuttle made it really easy to get from place to place....
Hotel was very nice and very clean, but I could tell the ware and tear on the hotel lobby furniture.....The arms of the chiars were very worn. Also did not like that I could not control the air in my room. It got a little stuffy at night...

Nice hotel. Very comfortable.

Everything was great especially the staff. Our only complaint is you had to pay $17 a person if you wanted breakfast which is ridiculous and it would have been nice to have a hot tub in the pool area.

Pros: king size bed
Cons: change the verbiage on our complimentary items to say they are available but not provided already
Location: old market
ice machine didn't work and not descriptive on what's available, not informed you have to pay for parking until after you make the reservation

I love that we could take the free shuttle to the zoo! I hate driving in Omaha.

Doesn't feel like Double Tree

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: They have this "travel light" thing, if you forget toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving cream, etc. they will provide it for free. Front desk is friendly
Cons: make the bed more comfortable.
For a Hilton hotel, it was one of the worst we have ever stayed at. We stayed at Double Tree in couple other cities before and were really happy with the stays. This time, however, was nowhere close to be satisfied. The facilities in general seem better days. The second I lay on the bed, I felt I was gonna touch the floor. And no, it's not a comfortable bed. We talked to the staff. She was nice and friendly, and switched us to a different room. The bed in the new room feels better than the other one, but still, not a Double Tree comfortable. The drain in the tub was not working well either. Hotel offers toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, etc. That is nice. Anyway, if it were to be a 60-70 dollar/night stay, I would say it did just fine. But when I paid 120 and it turned out to be like this, I have to say it's disappointing.

Rude!

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The entire experience was ruined by the managers behavior. The other staff were great, but that manager ruined it for us.
Cons: New management. The manager of the front desk should not work with people.
Location: Great location, close to the Old Market. Stay somewhere else--there are lots of great hotels to choose from that are close.
My niece (an adult) and our 2 daughters planned a fun night in route to a family gathering. I booked the room, but my niece and daughter travelling from a different place arrived before I did. She had the room confirmation information, along with an email from me on her phone. Her name had also been added to the room via the hotel's 1-800 customer service number. The manager would not allow her into the room. We all appreciate safety procedures, but the manager's behavior was awful. He insinuated that she was dishonest, took her phone, yelled at her and was extremely rude. When my niece told him his customer service was poor, he threatened to have her thrown out for using swearing. She did not (not does she ever) use any profanity. When my niece asked to speak to his supervisor, he initially refused to provide it until she asked multiple times, even stating he didn't have it. I was able to speak to a different staff person so that my niece and her daughter were able to finally get into the room, but not until my niece was already in tears. I will never stay at this hotel again! Not even if someone paid me.
