Bring Noise-Cancelling Headphones!

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Met usual Hilton Garden Inn standards for cleanliness.
Cons: Staff responsiveness. In Dodge and 10th Street rooms, and add noise-dampening technology. Yes, it exists. Try staying at an Oak Creek Inn; they use
Location: Excellent. Short walk from the river, the arena and convention center, and the Old Market.
Clean, standard Garden Inn, but If they put you next to U.S. 6 or 10th Street, don't stay there! Motor cycles, trucks, and loud cars roared away from the stoplight below much of the night, making sleep virtually impossible. I asked for another room, but was told was impossible (sold out?). Separately, I had called that afternoon to reach another guest. I never got that far. I was immediately put on hold twice for more than ten minutes, then was cut off each time. If they can't answer a phone call within ten minutes, they need more staff.

So nice and pretty, it feels like home!

I love Hilton hotels. I know that I can only expect the best when I stay at a Hilton hotel. Hilton staff is so polite and helpful. These hotels are always comfortable, safe, clean and pretty. To me the esthetics are very important. The breakfast buffet is the best too!

Nice hotel, terrible staff

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Cons: Worst of any Hilton I stayed. They need to train the whole staff how to be gladly serving the guests.
It is shame to have such terrible staff in nice facility. Front desk, kitchen servers, everyone there was just going through the motion and absolutely not wanting to be there. I think they need some serious employee training. I mentioned what I experienced there, the person in front desk couldn't care less...Their hot tub wasn't working. I understand it happens but so when I told them, the girl in front said "well, it is not working, there is nothing we can to". Attitude is altitude. it is not what you say, it is how you say. They also charge you for extra $10 for parking and for breakfast. There are so many other options around. It is not worth going through all these I mentioned paying extra. Not WORTH it! Stay somewhere else.

Great Experience

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: See above - actual drinking glasses in the room
Location: close to downtown, TD ameritrade stadium, Century Link arena and Old Market all within walking distance.
Very convenient to downtown and Old Market for walking. Exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean and spacious rooms and bathrooms. Nice to have ice on each floor. Would recommend highly. Only suggestion is to offer actual glasses in the room vs. paper cups. Breakfast offerings are excellent with wide variety of choices. Also like the day-long availability of cold fruit flavored water in the lobby. Nice to have after a day of walking in the heat. Finally, the free shuttle to/from the airport very nice to have; the driver, Jim was terrific and very knowledgeable and friendly.

Our Omaha stay

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: It's location to the downtown area.
Cons: Our room needs to be updated.
Location: It's close location to the downtown historic district with lots of good restaurants close to this hotel.
We have stayed at several Hilton's and Hilton Garden Inns in the past year and found this hotel to slightly above average. Our breakfast was good and overnight parking was just $10.

The only issue I had was that we had to pay an extra $ for parking even though we were staying at the hotel.
