Somewhat disappointed for price paid

Pros: Room and bathroom was nice and spacious.
Cons: Fix fixtures so they don't rattle. Allow earlier check-in time such as 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. and later check-out time such as noon. Heat the pool a bit.
Location: Location was easy to get to.
Inadequate parking spaces. Pool was too cold. Was told my grandchildren (<12 yrs old) had to get out of hot tub because of hotel policy to avoid risk of chlorine getting in their eyes. Seriously? What greater risk is there in the hot tub compared to that in the pool? Also, there were other kids <12 yrs old in the hot tub all the time, but staff were not consistent with enforcing policy. Got woke up early in morning from sound of fixtures in room rattling when people walked in hallway or floor above us. Disappointed with late check-in time (4:00 p.m.), early check-out time (11:00 a.m.) and splash pad/pool closing at 10:00 p.m. I think I paid more than was worth for our stay.

Nice Hotel is good location

We were disappointed in the breakfast it was very pricey for just my husband and I to have a buffet style breakfast.

It was alittle pricey bc it was an "event" weekend, and so true they jack up the prices bc we booked another room for a family member coming for the event and it was over $100 cheaper for the exact same room! That's one thing I didn't like!! They didn't even offer us a lower rate when we did that!! It WAS though a nice/clean hotel. I am picky about hotels and this one passed my test, but, like I said, a little expensive!

Noisy, booked for wrong night, ran out of food

Our reservation was booked for wrong night, kids running up and down the hallways til 1230am and started again at 630am. Rantoul of breakfast 45 mins before it was supposed to be over.

Loved it!!

We stayed here for the splash park area plus we love Holiday Inn. We were very impressed with the stay. The room was very clean and roomy, the bed was very very comfy and the bathroom was super clean and big. The kids loved the splash park and pool. We are already making plans to come back!! The staff was very helpful and friendly also!!

Great place to stay after 10 hours in the car

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The water park was a hit with the kids. The view of downtown from our room was spectacular.

Awesome hotel but....no complimentary coffee/tea??

The hotel staff was awesome. However, one of the main reasons we booked this hotel was due to the restaurant and attached sports bar. The only way to know these were under renovation and not available was a little note on the hotels.com website that you had to click on to even see this information. I would have appreciated if the hotel would have been a little more forth coming with this information. Especially since there isn't a whole lot (maybe 2) of other available eating/drinking options within walking distance. However, the rooms were great and clean and big. The water park area was awesome. My other complaint would be they need to have complimentary coffee available. I don't want to pay $3 for a cup of regular coffee from the coffee shop and the in room coffee is pretty disgusting and only makes a very small amount. Anyway, once the restaurant and sports bar are up and running this would be an awesome hotel. Also PLEASE get some complimentary coffee in the lobby like 99.99% of hotels offer.
