Magnolia-Omaha

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Loved the staff.
Cons: Two things here...stool ran constantly unless manually stopped and grout in shower needs some work.
Location: This motel is right on the edge of Omaha's Old Market area. Tons of great restaurants and shops in the area. Very easy walk to the scenic downtown.
I travel a fair amount and spend about 20 to 30 nights a year in motels. The front desk staff at the Magnolia was the nicest, friendliest, most helpful that I have ever encountered. The wait staff at the bar/restaurant isn't far behind. The room was spacious (two queens) and super comfortable.

very nice

Pros: charm to the room. Jacuzzi tub, bed, pillows. lovely bathroom
Cons: larger couch (if you stay with one who snores)
Location: Flatiron Restaurant up the street is wonderful (1 block away). Old Market 5 blocks away. If you have a vehicle drive 10 blocks to interstate
lovely room. WONDERFUL BED AND PILLOWS!!!!! beautiful wedding outside during our stay. no housekeeping on the first night, free parking a block or two away despite the weekend so no need to pay the meters or valet. wonderful Jacuzzi tub. great experience.

Omaha near lots of attractions

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Happy hour, great breakfast buffet, and cookies and milk every night were a nice touch. All staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our room was very small, and some fixtures needed to be repaired.
Location: Old Market is a short walk, with lots of fun restaurants, bars and shops. Downtown is also a short walk, and the riverfront is close enough to walk.
We stayed 4 nights at the hotel, having registered through a discount that did not tell us what hotel it was until after we registered and committed the payment. It turned out pretty well, although for a 3-star-plus hotel, I expected the room would be better appointed.

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the Old Market and comfortable.
Cons: Elevator was slow, but we never had to wait too long.
Location: Old Market is very close. We saw lots of theaters near the hotel too. It has a great location. The zoo was just 5 minute drive.
I loved our stay. Just a few blocks from the old market which has a great vibe. The hotel offers some social events in the evenings. We didn't partake because we had plans, but I think it would be good if you're traveling alone and want to socialize. I would definitely come here on my next trip to Omaha.

Very impressed

Fantastic authentic ambience ... loved the architecture throughout ... the high ceilings in the room and the gorgeous draperies. A great mix of classic and modern. The staff were warm and friendly. The breakfast was really really good. Easy walking access to the heart of the Old Market. The only negatives were the double beds were a bit small for our party of 4, and the bathroom door was awkward (heavy sliding hanging door). But those are nits ... this hotel is a gem.

Location: bars
The hotel is beautiful. It is four blocks from downtown, we walked back. They have a free shuttle service within a three mile radius which is great.

Great old hotel that looks like new. Great room. Great service. Free drinks in the evening. Milk and cookies at night and a nice free breakfast in the morning. It's walking distance to the downtown market. We would definitely stay there again.
