Don't be fooled by the low price

Pros: Only the good WIFI
Cons: Make the TV audible, clean the room every day, put soap and shampoo in the dispenser, provide acceptable alternatives to guests
Location: It is in what appears to be a bad area. The parking lot is regularly littered with fast food bags and containers as well as partially eaten food.
Don't be swayed by the low price of this hotel. The front desk offered to upgrade from the room we purchased for an additional fee. The room we booked had an old tube TV, the bathroom was shabby and the hall carpet was ragged and worn. The room was a one star so we chose to pay more for a better room with a flat screen TV, modern bath, nice furniture and a good appearance. After committing to this room we found the soap dispenser in the shower was empty, one of the towels look like a rag to mop the floor, and worst of all, the television was barely audible. We called the front desk and were told they did not have any soap/shampoo dispenser refill. We ask to have the television volume increased and maintenance was sent to the room. After he fooled around with the TV and checked the TV in another room, we were told that all of the TVs were set at this very low volume so guests would not hear the TV of others in their room. In spite of my protest that the TV was just short of inaudible, they would not even slightly increase the volume. Finally, we returned to our hotel the first night and found that nobody had cleaned the room. We called the front desk at were offered to change rooms which we didn't want to do because everything was unpacked. They were not willing to clean our room and provided the alternative of a free drink rather than a refund of the additional fee we paid for this room. The only thing good about this hotel was a strong WIFI connection (unsecured).

Perfect for what I needed. A bed to sleep in at a reasonable rate. Rooms were clean and tidy. Receptionists spoke perfect English

The staff at the Tulip Inn were always very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. However, we did not like the fact that a double room consisted of two twin beds pushed together. Aside from that, no complaints.

As usual, this hotel lived up to expectations, however, the new restaurant menu was a great improvement from our last visit, so much so that we dined in every evening during our stay.

Nice hotel shame about the traffic

The hotel is fairly good with comfortable rooms including free wifi so for business nice and convenient. The service at the bar and the restaurant was attentive and relaxed. The only issue to note from the stay was the truck noise from close by traffic junction which took some getting use to.

Convenient

Comfortable enough, but suffered not having air conditioning. Really helpful staff were always around to assist. Overall, given the price paid pretty good value, just a little tired in the rooms and no a/c was not great as the time I was there was very warm.
