Superb hotel, very central

Pros: Everything. It was the most relaxing stay I have experienced in a hotel and made to feel extremely welcome
Cons: Nothing needed
Location: Easy to find from the station, very central to all Lillehammer had to offer
Very friendly staff, excellent facilities, fabulous food, extremely pleased that we chose that hotel to stay at. Would highly recommend to others to stay and would definitely stay there again. We could not find anything negative about this hotel.

i stopped here on my way up North just for one night. Generally the hotel is a good one - quiet and with no personality, but the location is excellent (a couple of decent bars on the same street). the price was pretty horrendous but to be fair it did include breakfast (which was good) and also unusually the price also included an evening buffet which was remarkably good and saved the cost of a meal out. which was good as visiting Lillehammer on a sunday out of season is not a good thing - not much happens! the hotel has its own underground carpark which is good for secure parking. Its easy to walk from the hotel to the Olympic ski-jump centre and i highly recommend it, especially as its free!!

Outstanding customer service and good value

I received extraordinary customer service at the Hammer Hotel, especially from the front desk agent, Mr. Joakim. He intervened on my behalf with the local Hertz office to straighten out a goof on their part. He cheerfully spent the better part of two hours to solve the problem. The other staff were cheerful, efficient, and accomodating. Our room, on the 4th floor, was attractive, quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
