“Convenient to UC Irvine and the airport”

If I need to go back to UC Irvine or Orange County again I will definitely stay here. It was reasonably priced for the location and the hotel's shuttle service was extremely helpful to us. Room was clean and comfortable, although the hallway was a bit shabby. The grounds, lobby, restaurant, bar and pool area were quite nice.

“One step above a Motel 6!”

Any upgrades or improvements to this hotel were obviously done to the exterior. They have valet parking and a very nice Lobby. However, once you have walked from the Lobby, past the quite lovely pool area, and entered the back building, it is like a low rent apartment complex. The walls are cement with not a picture or any adornment in sight and is truly quite charmless. In my room: the dead bolt did not work on the door, if I had wanted to put anything away there was nothing with drawers, the T.V. belonged in the Smithsonian, the bed had an ancient spring mattress with threadbare bedding and a cement pillow and someone had touched up the paint in the bathroom, without masking off the walls, and managed to paint the tiles. I had just come from spending 3 nights in a Hampton Inn in San Diego which was priced the same but was charming, comfortable, and delightful. None of which can the Atrium claim. I would never stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it.

If you want to be close to the Orange County Airport, there are a multitude of hotels in the immediate area. Choose one of these!

“Convenient and Comfortable”

Great Service, easy access to SNA and very quiet and comfortable. Beautiful Atrium area can be viewed from private balcony. I would definitely stay here again. Great access to NewPort!

Area recommendations

NewPort and Laguna are great communities with beaches and lots of activities. Great restaurants and shopping too!

“Convenience is all it has going for it”

It does not live up to its online pictures; the lobby, pool area and common areas beautiful however my room's mattress was old, carpet was stained, the balcony had a small table but no chairs to sit in. Parking was $10/day for guests. Important note: after you leave your credit card deposit the front desk mentioned at checkout that it can take up to 4 weeks for the amount to be credited back to your card...inconvenient when travelling. The front desk would not take a cash deposit!

Area recommendations

I would recommend the Irvine/ So Coast Metro area . There alot of entertainment, dining and shopping choices.

“Orange Co. CA.”

Great location near the Orange County Airport (John Wayne). Stayed here 5 years ago. Hotel is in need of some cosmetic updating. Staff is friendly and curtious. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was good.
