Wyndam or Westin...

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Love that there are hard wood floors, no carpeting, in the rooms and a balcony with a door that opens; room service food is fantastic!
Cons: Bed was a little too mushy and soft, parking was way too pricey for hotel guests, one of the morning receptionists seemed to have a grumpy attitude.
Location: It is just a 3 minute walk from the incredible Segerstrom Center For The Performing Arts and lots of other walking areas to explore.
Yes, there are both to choose from with in very close proximity to each other and I am glad I chose the Wyndam!

Nice Studio Room

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: They are part of the Expedia VIP program. If you are an Elite member, it is really worth it.
Cons: The exhaust system in the bathroom could be stronger. It gets very humid after you take a shower.
Location: If you like Asian food, go to Jamboree Diamond. It is a food plaza, 10 minutes drive from the hotel. You will find many excellent options.
It was our first stay at this Hotel in OC. It was a very pleasant surprise. We liked the trendy lobby decoration. They upgraded us to a studio and the room was very spacious and clean. I was impressed by the amount of electric outlets available. Normally, I have to use a power strip that I carry in my luggage since there are never enough plugs to connect all my devices. It is not the case here. The bed is very comfortable and we had a good sleep during our 3 night stay. We did not have the chance to try the hotel restaurant but it seems to be always busy which is a good sign. The hotel location is very close to South Coast Plaza with plenty of options for shopping and dining. Their Wi-Fi speed is good but you have to re-login frequently since the session expires after some time. The check-in and check-out process was fast and courteous.

Nice hotel GREAT hardwood flooring

Posted Apr 7, 2014
I've stayed here a few time and it is always a pleasant visit. Being a Disneyland pass holder I usually try to stay a short drive away from the park, in order to get more "bang for my buck", and The Avenue Of The Arts is exactly that. The hotel staff and rooms are top quality at a reasonable price. Oh and the rooms are hardwood floors, so no gross hotel carpet.

Beautiful Hotel!

We stayed at this hotel primarily because of the location and the great price, however we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the hotel itself. Friendly staff and close to South Coast Plaza.

Great place for the arts & shopping in Costa Mesa

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Location, room comfort, good on-site restaurant.
Cons: Front desk service. A guy was shuffling papers while several of waited to check in. If he was not trained to handle check-in, he should at say so.
Location: Everything good in Costa Mesa is in walking distance.
This hotel is walking distance from all of the amenities in the Segerstrom Arts Center and South Coast Plaza. Given the many excellent restaurants in the area, one could stay here for a weekend and leave the car in the parking lot the entire time. A good thing to be able to do in the OC!

VERY NICE HOTEL IN A GREAT LOCATION NEAR SHOPPING.

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: THE LOOK AND FEEL OF THE HOTEL IS VERY MODERN AND STYLISH.
Cons: EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.
WE WERE THERE FOR A ONE DAY CONFERENCE IN THE AREA. WE NEEDED TO STAY AN ADDITIONAL NIGHT AND THE STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING AND LET US STAY IN THE SAME ROOM AT A REASONABLE RATE.

Comfortable and quiet.

Rooms are nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant that's in the same building is very recommendable. The expensive parking is from my point of view the only negative point.

Nice hotel, loads of shopping a block away.

Nice hotel, loads of shopping and resturants a block away. I liked everything about tis place except for one tiny thing, the maids were vacuuming the room next door to me and the hallway every morning at like 8:00am. To be fair we called the front desk on day two and complained about it and it did not happen again.
