“Would definitely go back”

We were amazed at how quiet it was in our room--no traffic noise, no "neighbor" noise. Large, comfortable suite, beautiful decor in the hotel. Hot breakfast was included. Less than an hour from San Diego and only about 20 minutes from Anaheim. Nice area--lots of shopping and restaurants in surrounding area, as well as movie theaters. Friendly staff. No complaints!

“Felt like we were in Europe”

We stayed 5 days to attend a church conference in Saddleback. The location was a straight shot on El Toro to the church and also close to Laguna beach. There were 7 of us total and everyone loved the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast and the cookies were great!

Area recommendations

After the conference was over we visited Crystal Cove, as some of the other reviews had said it was a beautiful beach. We actually preffered Laguna beach. We also took a short drive to Newport and went to Balboa Island. We took a boat ride and saw the famous homes and Gilligans Island. We really enjoyed Balboa and Balboa island. We parked our car and took the ferry boat fo $1 per person.

“Super quality”

I have no idea why the hotel is shown with only 2.5 stars. That was the only thing that made me think twice. I am happy that I read the reviews, since the hotel felt like at least a 4 star hotel, with superb free breakfast, very nice pool and great free happy hour. All this at a very affordable rate. Highly reccomended!

“2nd stay at the Ayres”

A very competent staff and good quality hotel. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The hotel is pleasant, quiet (there was a baby next door we only heard when coming and going) and clean. Nice place, not cheap but a good value.

“I plan to return. It was very nice.”

The cookies on the counter were a very nice touch.....and yummy!! The room was great, especially with the coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator! The handicapped shower was roomy If you are in a wheelchair, request a king bed instead of two queens because it would be hard to get around the beds in a wheelchair. There wasn't much room between and beside them. The breakfasts and happy hours were quite enjoyable!

“Our new favorite hotel!!!”

This hotel was everything you could ever want and more! Incredible service, super clean facilites and the reviews about the cookies are true. The full breakfast was excellent!! The food was cooked to order and there was a large variety of quality and tasty items to choose from. The rooms were incredibly clean and well furnished with extreamly comfortable beds. While reading the reviews before booking this hotel we thought it was probably to good to be true. But it was so much better than we expected and the cookies were amazing! We will definatly be staying here again!

“ayre's hotel laguna woods”

very nice small, European style hotel. Good breakfast, quiet ; and the manager came by at breakfast to see that we are taken care of; so good service. we will use this hotel again.
