Pros: Friendliness of the staff, we felt very welcome!
Beautiful area, across from the ocean. Restaurants within walking distance. Easy access to the beach area.

Pros: The staff was very nice and helpful. The ocean view from the sundeck was beautiful! The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: $14.00 "resort fee". This hotel was nice but far from a "Resort". Why not tell the truth, $14.00 for parking and breakfast?
Location: The ocean view was wonderful.
The staff was very nice. They were very attentive at breakfast and tried to make everyone comfortable. The hotel was clean and the ocean views were wonderful. To access the beach it was a short walk because there is a fence and railroad tracks. We were not disturbed by the train. There is no pool and only a small Jacuzzi so not much to do, but we did sightseeing and went to the beach.

Pros: The music playing throughout the walkways, the grounds. Staff were super nice.
We were pleasantly surprised. It's just too bad it's right on the highway, which interferes with the sound of the ocean waves, but not much they can do about that.

Our room had vaulted ceilings and plenty of space for our family of four. The management was always friendly. Parking in the parking garage below was convenient. The outdoor common areas were a nice place to relax outside.

Extra Fees for what?

Upon arriving to check in, the front desk told us we he wouldn't have anything ready for 3 more hours. Understandably so because we were there early, BUT there were only about 5 cars in the entire parking lot. He then informs us that there is an extra $10 charge per person... Huh? It was my husband, me, and our one year old, we booked one room with two beds, so why the $10 charge? Then the $14 resort fee, are you kidding me, resort? I've stayed t plenty of resorts, This is a best western, NOT A RESORT! Our room overlooked a garden, which was a 1980s fountain, with some old stones and dead grass. Hardly anything garden like about it. The room smelled like poop and come to find out our other view was a nice sewer tunnel, classy! This is my first and last time booking a sub par room. The only good thing about the stay was the comp breakfast, but it's not really comp if you're paying per person plus a bogus resort fee. Learned my lesson. PS there was an older Asian lady making waffle mix in a random closet, while another man was telling her to hurry and make some more.

Management Caution!

This hotel may be great, but I wonder about the management? I booked a room for two on hotels.com for a stay 3 months in advance. I have never had a problem with this service and have used it numerous times. I was suppose to be charged when I arrived which was 3 months later. However, this hotel charged my card the same day I booked my reservation and then said they expected me the day I made my reservation. I tried to reason with them and the manager said too bad. The hotel may be a great place to stay, but I would be cautious about paying in advance for a future reservation. The manager would not reason with me. If he had agreed to put the credit toward my future reservation, I would have been satisfied, but NO, he just said too bad!
