“Nice Place to stay for a week”

I like that it had a ready to use kitchen.

This hotel was an all suite hotel that had very nice staff. the hotel itself was clean and the room was equally nice. the only thing that puzzled me was that I had to request fresh towels. When I called about the towels I had to bring the wet ones to the desk in order to receive new ones. Other than that I have no complaints. There was even a Honor store there in the lobby that was nice. They had everything from toiletries to fresh fruit and frozen meals. The room had a full kitchen in it that came with all the necessary items to prepare and cook a meal! My check in and check out was very swift. I made it to the airport for my flight home with no problem!

“Candlewood Suites -Orange County”

Free use of washing machine & dryer. Room not extravagent but very functional, clean, with new carpet and furniture. Easy access to all types of shopping at The District (5 min drive). 10 minutes from John Wayne airport. I've stayed at this hotel several times and will return. Great value.

“Good value, good location”

This is designed to be an extended stay hotel, but it worked very nicely for my one-night stay on a business trip. It has all the amenities for an extended stay - large refrigerator, microwave, etc., as well as a workout room and video/DVD library. No breakfast, though.

I was able to get this great deal over the weekend on expedia and the arrangements in this hotel were great. I was very impressed.

I stay in hotels in this price range about 30 times per year for business. I never wrote a review but am motivated to write my first one because of my bad experience here. First of all, the room had an intense horrible odor, like burnt food, and I don't know why I didn't just ask for a different room. Staying in that room was my stupidity. Next, I was on the first floor and the folks above me were intermittently banging on the floor with something for hours. It almost sounded like they were lifting weights and then dropping them on the floor. Then I settled into bed for some late night TV only to find that the TV was defunct. It was plugged in alright, but neither the remote nor power switch on the TV worked. The final straw was when the toilet broke the next morning and I had to use a long kitchen utensil to flush it by lifting the flapper valve inside the tank. Too many problems for one stay. I will not chance it by staying at this chain ever again.
