Money saver for Anaheim convention centerPosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Proximity to convention center, front desk service, fridge in room.
Cons: Update decor and improve restaurant service and add variety to menu.
Location: You can walk to Target to get groceries for breakfast if you want to avoid the $10 breakfast buffet. Several nice restaurants are w/in a short walk.
The pros: Close to Anaheim Convention Center Free WiFi Friendly Staff at front desk and efficient room attendants Clean Refrigerator in Room The cons: DATED: decor and music is from the 90s Service at Restaurant: Palm Tree Cafe - Went to have dinner around 8pm- the place had 2 groups of customers and not a waiter/host in sight. Waited several minutes for someone to come out and seat me. Waited ~10 minutes for someone to come and take my order. Had a decent burger with some baked chips (~10 minutes). Waited ~10 minutes for someone to come bring me a check. I was a weary traveler who wanted a quick bite before bedtime- with quick service I could have been in and out in ~30 minutes but it took more like 50 minutes. Seemed like host and waiters hung out in kitchen chatting and weren't really keeping an eye on the customers.

Did not get a good view! Too far from dysneylandPosted Feb 25, 2014
I wouldn't stay there again. To pricey for the room I got. Had to pay for parking. And buffet way to pricey.

Surprising EconomyPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the Convention Center, staff, pillows
Cons: Decor - Very 1980s. Just a little update will do.
Location: Anaheim Convention Center, Disneyland, Morton's Steakhouse
I usually stay next door at the Marriott. But, this time I was on a budget, so I thought I'd give Clarion a try. The staff is very attentive. The rooms, although they're from the 1980s, are clean, the bed is comfortable and I want to get a set of those pillows! Dreamy. The restaurant and bar staff are accommodating. It seemed like I needed to eat at irregular hours and they were ready to serve. I would definitely stay there again. It's a tremendous bargain amongst price gouging due to its proximity to Disneyland. It's location is a problem if you're expecting a quiet get-away. Families and small children are bounding through the hallways, elevators and pool. Enjoy the Clarion.

Walking distance to DisneylandPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Walking distance to Disneyland.
Cons: Quiet refrigerator and more comfortable mattress.
Location: Disneyland within walking distance. IHOP within walking distance.
We have stayed at this hotel before and were happy. Less so this time. Refrigerator was noisy so we unplugged it overnight. Mattresses are near their end with metal edges felt. Elevator wait was quick. Walking distance to Disneyland and IHOP.

Hotel in need of renovation and remodelPosted Feb 23, 2014
The bathroom needed to be rebuilt. The carpet needed to be replaced. The staff was nice. I have stayed in 2 star hotels that were in better shape than this.

Doing Disney on a BudgetPosted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: Comfortable beds, relatively close to the park
Cons: Bathroom/ vanity areas need to be updated- lots of old grout and a little mold.
Location: Close to Disneyland parks and Downtown Disney, steps from the convention center
This hotel was just okay. The beds were nice and comfortable and it's relatively close to the park, about a 15-20 minute walk. However, the maid service was slow we were gone for about 8 hours and they still hadn't made it to our room. The bathroom/vanity area was very cramped and the hotel staff had close to no knowledge regarding shuttles to and from the park as well as the airport. The pool area is sub-par, just a rectangular pool with some chairs and that's about it, no hot tub. The hotel restaurant had terrible service, we only did breakfast once, it took us 15 minutes to be seated and there were only 7 other tables in the restaurant with two servers. Once we told our waitress that we were going to do the buffet (which was also sub-par, cold eggs not a lot of options, etc.) she never came back to our table, not even to fill our coffee which was also not self serve. The plus side to this hotel is that it is relatively close to the park and you can sometimes find good deals for room rates, but I would definitely no pay full price for this place.

Great location and price...friendly staff too!Posted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: The friendly staff, warm outdoor pool and their breakfast buffet was great!
Cons: Horrible wifi connection Construction next hotel early in the morning
Location: Lots of restaurants, shops and of course Disneyland (2 large blocks away)!
I would recommend this hotel to families and students...lacked luster but exceptional staff made up for it!

Horrible...Posted Feb 18, 2014
My wife and I are Annual Passholders, so we travel to disney a lot and stay at many hotels. This is our first time here and it was not impressive. The pictures look great but when we got their everything was horrible. The elevators didn't work, vending machines didn't work, only one hotel desk person who is super slow, and worse of all the bathroom isn't clean. They should not charge the price they do if they have so low standards.
