Beware. If you book a room for a King bed suite, the Marriott Hotel at Costa Mesa CA can change your purchase room to two twin beds when they are “sold” out. They will not refund your purchase or upgrade your accommodation. There is no recourse. Essentially it is a bait and switch scenario. You can either take the lower value accommodation or you can leave and still no refund. Beware of Bait and Switch. Avoid this Hotel. The night front manager was unprofessional and rude.

Overall a great stay! King suite is perfect. Clean, roomy, balcony even, only complaint is no room service on site and their “coffee maker” from the 1950s lol Like can we at least get a keurig? No? Ok. 4 stars for those reasons. Everything else was great😊

Great property. Great location. Great stay. Unfortunately the cleaning crew missed a couple of hairs in the bathroom resulting in a lower rating for cleanliness. I also had an electric rental so it would have been great if they had a few docking stations. Other than that my stay was extremely enjoyable.

Booked for Friday, 3/8 to Sunday, 3/10. Arrived late on Saturday, 3/9 at 1am with a friend’s car. The car left the hotel on 3/9 at 10am. Was charged for 2 nights of parking. The staff at front told me that it still count as two nights and said there’s nothing she can do because Marriott does not own and manage the parking.

This was the worst experience ever. We were overcharged almost $700.00 for a 4 night stay that was already paid for through Expedia. My room was dirty sheets weee dirty a felt very sad that they took so long to relocate us to another room. The girl at the front desk said that she needed two Credit Cards on file for incidentals.

The staff was very nice and helpful at check in and when I need some toiletries. The hotel seemed very nice and quiet. We were able to sit on the couch and just watch tv and relax which was lovely.

I heard the property was recently renovated, it looks wonderful inside and out. I didn't get to tour much of the property, but next time I may have more time. The room was excellent! It was very clean, comfortable bed, plenty of linen, extra pillow and blanket in the closet. The only thing missing was a microwave. They offer a mini-fridge, but no microwave if you'd like to heat up food. Michael, I believe his name is was nice but very short. I know he was just anxious to leave as he had to work a back to back shift, and was over it. I know from experience, days like this often happen, but your customers should not have to know or be shown that you are done for the day. Keeping it professional until you clock out is key to retaining your customers. The only negative, was that in the afternoon, upon checking-out, one of the young ladies at the desk, completely ignored another customer that was waiting to be assisted and also did not pick up the phone and just let it ring until they hung up. I know for a fact, that Marriott's policy is to answer the phone by the 3rd ring and if you are busy, you can ask to place them on hold. It was quite rude to not even acknowledge the other customer in line, and not even look up from her computer. Instead, she waited for her other colleague to return to the desk after she went to grab me a spoon, for her to finally help the other guest. Besides these little mishaps, I would still be returning in the near future. Thank you =)
