Questionable neighborhood

Posted Jul 22, 2014
The staff was very accommodating, but the hotel was less than nice. Probably the most run down Days Inn that I have ever stayed in. The neighborhood seemed a bit shady. Not some place we would let our kids walk alone.

Good location to beaches and surrounding areas

The hotel stay was nice. The online pictures are deceiving the room was very small, but did have what we needed for our short 2nd a stay. The cost was to high for the hotel and it's size.

Stay was good, but could not check in early, due to room not ready.

Old and outdated

Posted Jun 14, 2014
Upon checking in I asked if their was a downstairs room available (since my friend is disabled). I was told there wasn't but that they had an elevator. I later found the room was on the opposite end of the building from the elevator making it difficult to carry luggage, since I was told they did not have luggage carts! The room was very clean but the outside of the hotel was covered with cigarette butts and the bottom of the staircase was littered with trash. The staff was friendly and at checkout I saw a sign that offered assistance to handicap people- guesss I was tired at check in and did not notice it- although it would have been nice if I had been told this when I asked for a luggage cart. This would have helped my friend who carried luggage while using a cane!

Decent. But lame breakfast

Posted Jun 12, 2014
When I booked this hotel for our vacation I specifically chose it because it was close to the beach, & stated it had a great breakfast including waffles for breakfast.. We like to have a great breakfast before we start our day & was extremely disappointed when there was cold cereal, bread, yogurt, & bagels. The coffee was terrible so go across the street to star bucks. Overall cleanliness of the room was good, housekeeping should check what's under the beds though... appreciated the mini fridge & microwave. Pool is insanely tiny. Area around/side of hotel a little run down & "ghetto".. The young girl at the front desk could have been a little more peachy also, she had pretty stale attitude and her customer service was a 2 on a scale from 1-10.

Pros: Easy to get to freeway to LAX.
Cons: Update furniture and Bette windows to cancel road noise.
Location: Very short drive to Huntington Beach. Surrounding area has restaurants and malls so no need to travel far for necessities.
Clean, neat, good price. Right next to the 405 so freeway noise was constant. I could still sleep so wasn't completely a nuisance but you could still hear it. Nice little pool. I didn't go in it but it looked clean and private. Price was right and staff was courteous and professional.

Horrible hotel

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Build a new one
Location: Close to lot of restaurants, shopping malls, beach but to close to the freeway.
This hotel is so out of date, old furniture, old carpet, horrible cleaning detergent smell when entered the room. Noise from the freeway is unbearable. I would not recommend this hotel.

Clean, easy and quiet

Everything was as advertised on expedia. I personally prefers feather pillows, next time I will bring,my own. And I did not see the breakfast. So I do not know if I missed it, or if they run out of Danishs.

Nice place at a good location.

The room was clean, quiet, and pleasant. The freeway entrance isn't far and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

No sleep

Posted Apr 7, 2014
We needed a place to sleep so we could run a race the following day. The traffic noise from the freeway was too loud to sleep peacefully :(
